We stayed here for a long weekend earlier in July and loved it. It's a very spacious site with planted trees providing good shade if needed and all the pitches are good. It's nice and quiet, very dog friendly - all 5 caravans had at least one dog - and you do pick up a very slight coastal breeze which was very welcome in the hot weather this year. Our family came to visit for a day with small granddaughter and there was plenty of room to run around without bothering the 'neighbours'. We found a small manmade lagoon at nearby Tollesbury Marina for a leisurely free paddle. The owner is very helpful and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Lovely walks to the sea wall which does run all the way to Maldon if you want to walk, there's a good bus service back to Goldhanger! We will definitely be returning.
