Lovely quiet site with very warm welcome

Stayed off here for 2 nights in July 2014 on our way touring Devon/Cornwall. So quiet! It was heaven, lovely walks for the dogs, both on site and on the Blackdown Hills a few miles away. Kevin called one afternoon with a jug of Pimm's with strawberries and mint, absolutely beautiful! Thank you Kevin!

Cracking site

We stayed at Crimson Hill for 4 nights in early May. It has cracking views over the Vale of Taunton and is easy access to to Taunton town centre (ten minute drive) and the surrounding area. We were made to feel very welcome.  Kevin gave us local advice and we wandered down to Curry Mallett (ten/fifteen minute walk) and had a good meal at The Bell.  Good value and excellent quality food.  The beer was also of a high standard and the dogs were welcome. There is lots of good walking in this area. Especially on the Quantocks.  You can see the walks we enjoyed on our blog www.twodogsandanawning.co.uk We will try and stay here next time we are in the area.

crimson hill great site

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great site with fantastic views of local area. Very helpful owner who explained where everything was. Only 3 or 4 miles off of M5 and easy to find. Last few hundred yards a bit narrow but road is not busy. Plenty of space to pitch with EHU spread out so you are not on top of one another. Ideal spot for touring mid Somerset and The Quantocks. Quiet at night with no traffic noise apart form the very occasional passing car

Great site

We have had two very enjoyable stays at Crimson Hill farm. The site is quite large with plenty of room for 5 discrete units. The views are wonderful and the site is peaceful with lots of lovely walking possibilities. There is good TV and mobile internet reception. The local pub in Curry Mallet is also a very nice spot with good beer and meals. If there is a bit of a downer it is the long walk to the water supply and the chemical disposal point but I know that this is being addressed. This is a really excellent site for anyone wishing to spend time in the Taunton area.

Fantastic CL with stunning views!

Just come back from a 7 night stay here.

This site does exactly what it says on the tin and more. I can only add to the previous reviews of how good this site is, pleasant and very helpful owners. Plenty to do both urban and rural, superb countryside and access to most areas. Only downside is that the site is along a single track road with passing places but don't let that put you off. I would recommend and certainly re-visit.

Try Crimson Hill

Beautiful location, well worth travelling along the last leg of the journey which as the others quote, is a narrow lane. Beautiful sunsets across the valley, very peaceful. Welcoming friendly owners and good shower/toilet. Easy access to all counties and M5. Plenty of space for each caravan/motor home so that you don't feel you're looking into each others unit. So, sitting here and sipping a cold glass of wine and looking at the sunset, later on the stars! Good for the soul! Try it!

Lovely Week

Just returned from 7 nights at Crimson Hill. We are still new to caravaning and this was the first time that we had ventured away from a "proper" CC site, so were a little apprehensive and not sure what to expect. Any concerns we had disappeared immediately. Kevin met us on arrival and gave a quick tour of the site. He was friendly and approachable. The field had a slight slope (hardly worth getting leveling blocks out), the grass was short and there was lots of space between pitches. The views over the valley were lovely and it was very peaceful and relaxing. Only 5 or 6 miles from the motorway and within reach of Exmoor, the south Devon Coast, the North Devon/Somerset coast and a number of NT properties. Only gave 4 stars to ease of arrival because final half mile or so is pretty narrow (glad we didn't meet anyone coming the other way) - but I guess that contributes to the peace and quiet. Also the CL sign was a bit hidden in the hedge. A super week and we will return. If the next CL we visit is half as nice as this we will be delighted.

A lovely location

An easy to find, beautiful location for this CL. Facilities as described, with a good sized bathroom with a shower and a toilet. Views from this site were absolutely stunning, and the kids loved being on a farm, with plenty of space to play/chill out. Some works currently being carried out on the site, but it didn't disturb us at all, and didn't detract from our stay. A narrow approach into the site, but still manageable with a twin axle. Will definitely consider staying here again when we are in the area.
