Stayed for 3 nights in August 2024 as my husband was going Hot Air Ballooning at York Racecourse. Unfortunately on the day the weather was too windy and they cancelled. Easy to access site and a really good base to get to York. Site is reasonably flat and well laid out. We used the local bus service which goes from Selby to York. Its 15/20 minutes to York, via the Designer Outlet and about 35/40 minutes to Selby. We went to the Abbey in Selby and had a walk around the shops, very pleasant. The next day we went into York but it was very, very busy. A beautiful city but spoilt by the crowds. Lots of information and leaflets in the hut on the site regarding the area. Would definitely stay again
