A Beautiful Place To Stay

This is a lovely CL attached to Robb and Nicola's vineyard producing some beautiful Welsh wines. The all grass pitches are reasonably flat, with wonderful views across a hay meadow to the woods and hills beyond. Traffic noise is almost non-existent and the welcome is warm and friendly. A good base for visiting the wonderful Monmouthshire countryside, with a number of ruined castles nearby (White Castle is a 20 minute walk away and well worth a visit, and Skenfrith Castle is nearby). Symond's Yat is easily reachable, as is Abergavenny, Brecon and so on. But the most interesting thing is Robb's tour of his vineyard, and the restored mediaeval barn on the farm. Wine tasting and light lunches are available.  We didn't try the lunches, but the wines are very nice indeed. Will definitely go back for more!
