Excellent Fully Serviced Site

We have just enjoyed our stay on a quite remarkable site. Great welcome on arrival with beautifully arranged pitch locations. We intend to return very shortly as we did not have long enough to visit all the nearby 'attractions'. We cannot praise this CL enough.

High class CL in much underrated part of England

More like a small site than a CL, with price to match but excellent moden facilities (shower, wash basin and WC) and very well administered. Vans pitched between small hedges in a circular fashion (around the flagpole and electricity points), which leads to little flexibility with siting, direction, etc. Field has slight slope so some blocks required. Very quiet - bats and owls visible/audible. Excellent village store in nearby village of Upper Tysoe. Plenty of beautiful villages in surrounding area and lots of footpaths.

first visit

What a gem, absolute credit to the owners who couldn't be more welcoming if they had laid out a red carpet, not the cheapest but you get what you pay fof and you get lots in this tranquil littlespot,a shower/toilet area that would shame many homes!especially mine!!everything you would want if you were to design a campsite from scratch is here,so well thought out,and certainly out of the way, even the shopkeeper at nearby Upper Tysoe was unaware of the campsite itself, says it all,my first but definitely not my last visit to this delghtful little Haven.Well done.

Fantastic peaceful & well equipped site

Fantastic peaceful & well equipped site My husband & I spent 10 days here for our summer holiday in our trailer tent. It lives up to the owners intentions on their website, to provide a beautiful, peaceful & well equipped & serviced site. The views are spectacular into the fields next door where the horse, donkeys & alpacas roam between fields & in & out of their wooden shelters. The reception/ toilet / shower are a short walk across the car park. It’s like home from home in the shower room, it’s so well appointed. A wall bookcase offers leaflets of local walks & centres to visit. We went to Stratford-on-Avon one day - only half an hour away. Check out the “Rush” tickets on the rsc website, released every Friday for the following week. £10 for best seats if available!

unusual peaceful site

we have just spent a very enjoyable week at this site, one small thing was lack of anywhere to put toiletries when in the shower.Sounds a small thing but as I am unable to bend down,it made things very awkward.

Excellent CL

Spent a wonderful week at this beautiful site surrounded by horses, sheep, donkeys, alpacas and chickens. As there were bird feeders on most of the pitches, we were lucky enough to have a Red Woodpecker visit us every day. The facilities were immaculate as was the rest of the site. It was easy to access and also easy access to other cities and places of interest ie, National Trust etc. Would have no hesitation in visiting again and thoroughly recommend this site.

Hard to beat

Like other reviews this is absolutely one of the best CL's we have stayed at - it has all the key components for a perfect site - tranquility, immaculate facilities, beautiful surroundings, friendly owners and a range of animals to keep you amused....we will definitely be returning

One of the best

In 32 years of camping and caravanning this site is one of the best I have stayed at in this country. There are strict rules about positioning caravans but that is no real problem. Only one shower and toilet but it was immaculate. The local village of Epwell is a walkable 15 minutes. The village pub had good beer but the advertised meals were a tad basic. We checked google maps using the sites internet connection only available near the toilets and found a number of nearby villages with excellent pub food and the Pheasant at Oxhill served a great evening meal. The instructions given by the owner about using their directions is an absolute must, most of the surrounding roads are single tracked and even driving the car alone through Epwell was difficult to say the least. Well done Stephanie you should be proud of the work you have done with the site. If in the area we will return but next time for a longer stay

Top-end CL

We spent a week at Crofts Barn in May. It was a good place to be during wall-to-wall sunshine! We would echo the virtues extolled by other reviewers. Our reason for not giving five stars is the site's policy on dogs. The owners' dogs are allowed to run around loose on the site field and on three occasions we encountered dog poo on the field or car park. Stephanie cleared it up when it was drawn to her attention, and wanted any instances reported so that she could take swift action. But for us, having to do that made the site feel less peaceful.

Reply from Crofts Barn

We thank you for your review and have addressed your concerns regarding our dogs by installing an electric fence which restricts our dogs from accessing  the CL site.

Absolutely Lovely

Have just spent a week at this really lovely CL. Stephanie was there to greet us when we arrived and made us very welcome. The site is lovely. Very quiet and relaxing with lovely alpacas, donkeys, chickens and a horse, but for us the star of our visit was the woodpecker which visited the bird feeders every day. The pitches were all fully serviced and there was lots of room between each one. The site itself was very easy to find. The shower and toilet was lovely and immaculately clean. The nearby village of Tysoe had all that was needed with a shop, cafe, post office and pub and there were lots of lovely National Trust properties in the area. Would definitely visit again.
