At time of our visit grass had been uncut for sometime, owner now in his 90's and relies on family to maintain, it is a nice CL with great views and Mr Flemming a very nice gentleman. I just hope it's not getting too much for him, as we heard stories of several non members using the site on a regular basis probably as he is not able to check site regularly and relies on people going to house to announce arrival and make payment. We still enjoyed our stay on what is a very quite site.

Lovely peaceful place to stay, wonderful scenery everywhere you look. Loads of places nearby to visit. The site is clean and tidy with plenty room between caravans. Definitely worth a revisit👍👍👍

Plenty of space

Nice quiet site, plenty of space on a grassy field, park wherever you like. 25m hookup cable reaches most places from the hookup points. Well made access road. Site on a slope but enough flat areas to get a motorhome level. Price is £15 per night in June 2023. No signage telling you how to pay - cash at the main farmhouse 1 minute up the track (not the cottage opposite the site).

Stunning peace

A lovely site slight sloping field and 6 hookups 3each side. No problems though. Nothing wrong with Toilet disposal obviously been updated and is just what is required. Users take care. Fabulous views, saw lots of bats at dusk, a barn owl, a hare, rabbits and buzzards. Harvest time so lots of farming entertainment to watch. I think Frank the combine had a problem? Kelso is close by for shopping and other historic places to visit. Will definitely return.

Excellent site....

What an excellent site. Spent a week here recently and couldn't have wished for a better site to be on. A warm welcome from the owner and his son. Spotlessly clean site. Stunning scenery, and easy for visiting surrounding areas. If visiting the Scottish borders this site is a must. Can also highly recommend the Borders Hotel/pub in Yetholm the food is excellent and a warm welcome from the owner and staff.

Crook house Farm September 2018

A little gem in glorious surroundings. Great walks and bike rides should you choose. The Fleming family most welcoming and friendly. Arrive and park up......enjoy.

Fantastic site

It was the first time we'd been to this site, Mr and Mrs Fleming are lovely. Site is in a beautiful setting, very quiet and relaxed. Loads of space and free to pitch where you wanted. We'll certainly return to this well kept site

What a super site!

Ended up here after visiting another site nearby that was infested with flies. After arriving at the other site and being covered in flies we got the CC book out and looked for an alternative nearby as we were visiting friends in nearby Kelso. Spoke to Mr Fleming on the phone and after he confirmed no flies we made our way there. He said just pitch up and we can settle up when you leave. We dont like to do that so once settled in we walked up to the farmhouse where we were made most welcome, It is a lovely if basic site at the side of a working farm, single grass field with trees and hedges around the outside, just pitch where you like. large enough that you dont have to be near anyone else if you so choose Peacefull and quiet with only the birds and the occasional tractor to break the peace. Facilities basic but adequate. Can only be 5* in our eyes and will definately come back next year. One slight potential problem we noticed on departure after a bit of heavy rain the day before was that it is uphill to leave the site onto a gravel track. had a little bit of trouble getting traction to get out of the gate but it was a front wheel drive car dragging a heavy van with two bikes on the back so no real surprise there! Certainly doesnt detract from a super site, a credit to its owners
