Perfect location

We booked a last minute stay for one night at this beautiful site and luckily it was out of school holidays and there was room. The location was perfect to visit out daughter in Bristol and for us all to cycle along the Bristol-Bath cycle route into Bath. Florence was very welcoming and we had everything we needed in what was a beautiful and tranquil place. Thank you.

Lovely site

Stayed here 2 weeks end of April, take caution up Ryedown Lane it's short uphill run with a few passing places , I only had problem one day (bin day) out of the 2 weeks I was here and I wasn't towing so ok. Field is sloping but blocks provided so faced 'van downhill and blocked it up , no problem. Very quiet and secluded with nice views. Nice clean toilet in farmyard used my own shower cos none here. Florence lovely lady made me welcome and we chatted a couple of times during my stay. Handy for both Bristol and Bath. Bus stops close by on main road but I used park and rides for both , no charge for parking and used bus pass for journey. Main shopping in Keynsham 10-15 mins drive. Petrol station by Avon Valley Railway and walkway few hundred yards away. Highly recommend.

LOVELY PEACEFUL FARMLAND SITE

This CL is very peaceful and quiet and the owner Florence provides a very friendly and warm welcome. Yes, the top of the slope is a bit steep but we were able to set up our van using the breeze blocks provided. Nice clean toilet in the farmyard, everything you need and of course a fraction of the cost of non-CL club sites. It also feels more relaxed, you can pitch up where you wish rather than precisely between two white posts. There is plenty to do in the area - Bath is lovely and we went round a couple of National Trust sites.

Lovely quiet site in great location

This is lovely grassed field next to a beautiful old farmhouse. There are several now-unused barn buildlings, and just a few horses grazing in neighbouring fields. Views are across the fileds. and valley to the Bristol suburbs. It is very quiet and peaceful, with just the odd jet flying overhead from Bristol airport. Florence was very welcoming and friendly, and even though it was a Bank Holiday weekend, the site was quiet. The site is a bit slopey, but we had no problem getting the caravan level. There is a clean toilet for us, but that is only facility. We chose Cully Hall as we were visiting our daughter who lives in Bristol. The city was easy to reach, via bus or driving, or you could use the Bath Bristole Railyway path - 9 miles flat cycling. We cycled the Path the 7 miles down to Bath, a lovely trip. There are loads of other attractions and bridleway and paths nearby. We visited the Bath Soft Cheese Cafe and walked down to the River Avon. Highly recommend this site.

Cycling the Avon and Canal

Florence the owner was fantastic, such a genuine and wise lady, Florence was there to welcome us when we arrived and she came to say goodbye when we left. Site is so quiet, think it's the quietest site I have ever stayed on. Down a dead-end lane so no passing traffic. Location is perfect, we have been very happy here it's central to do many things, for us it was cycling the canal and the cycle route 24, with the two tunnels, straight from the site. Site is very sloping but fitted on 5 units with good space between even though we all pitched a bit oddly due to the slope. There are also plenty of bricks and blocks around, we used some. There are views up the hill and down the hill you look at the barns and is easier to pitch with you nose down. We did a lovely short walk around the site and enjoyed views of the site and across Bristol. Used the EHU no problem. Chemical toilet is past the main house and into the next field and is only a sewage drain, adequate for a basic site.

Great location but hard to pitch

A superbly located CL, within very easy reach of the Park and Ride for both Bristol and Bath, Shops and supermarkets are also very close, in nearby Longwell Green and Keynsham. The CL is quite straightforward to find, although the driveway up to it is very narrow, so fingers crossed you don't meet someone coming the other way! There are panoramic views from the field next to it, but not from the CL field itself which only looks onto farm buildings, this seems rather a pity. If you have a dog, take it for a walk along the Avon Valley heritage railway path which is tarmacked and goes on for miles. The toilet is pretty good by CL standards, although it's only ever as good as the state some fellow caravanners leave it in. The main issue for us was the sloping nature of the CL field, we really struggled to get pitched and ended up halfway down the field at right angles to the slope. It took ages to get the van level, which wasn't ideal after a long journey down. In wet weather, you will need 4WD or a motor mover or preferably both! But for location, Cully Hall Farm can't be beaten.

Lovely site lovely owner, what more could you want?

I can only concur all the other 5 star reviews, this is a lovely site with a lovely owner, perfect for accessing the Bath to Bristol Cycle path with an almost equal distance walk to either destination. Perfect for walks straight from the site due to a footpath crossing through the farm. Peaceful, quiet and if you go in the autumn you may even get treated to free apples. We will be back

Beautiful peaceful site with a lovely owner !

A Return visit finds this site as beautiful and peaceful as ever and Florence (owner) couldn’t be any more helpful and friendly The site is so private, quiet and peaceful with all the amenities you need, yet just a short distance to historic Bath and vibrant Bristol and much more a little further afield… The park and ride to Bristol (Brislington) is just 4.5 miles away. The harbour is wonderful to stroll along and see all the sights. We highly recommend the M Shed museum (free of charge) for all the history and information about Bristol. We had a fantastic time and definitely will return ! Thanks Florence.

Very quiet and beautiful site.

Cully Hall Farm is a lovely quiet site. Florence greeted us as soon as we arrived, and was extremely helpful, she pointed us in the right direction for our dog walks, where the waste needed to be placed and all of the other essentials. It is a sloping grass site, but there are blocks distributed around the site for you to use if you don't have your own. Cully Hall Farm is midway between Bristol and Bath and is ideally placed to explore both centres, we loved the site, and we will return!

Excellent.

An absolute delight ! Thank you Florence for your hospitality. An immaculate farm with commanding views, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, perfect if you have a dog. We will definitely return later in the year. It was a delight watching hot air balloons floating past and Betty our dog was delighted with the walks on the doorstep. (thank you for the carrots)
