Lovely views

We stayed here for 5 nights during the 2018 hot spell and it was too hot to venture far with our dogs or to leave them in the van whilst we went out (not a complaint) and so we did plenty of sitting outside, reading and relaxing. We had one day where there were a lot of very small black insects, which caused discomfort but, again, the weather was to blame. The views across the countryside are beautiful. The entrance is quite narrow and the road is too, so be aware both on approach and when leaving. Another caravanner assisted us on our leaving - thanks. There is a small single track road down the side of the site, which can be used to walk dogs but we found a lovely forest walk about a mile back on Trinity Hill Road towards the A35. We only saw the owner once, who was then going away for a few days. Before pitching up make sure that you are within reach of one of the electric hook up points as they are quite spaced out with 2 points on each one. The toilet emptying point is hidden away near to the site entrance. No criticisms of the site - basic -but had all we look for and needed. The weather certainly helped us enjoy ourselves.
