Ease of arrival/welcome

Lovely & quiet but do not count on there being enough electricity.

Booked this site for 5 nights and left a day early. The site is lovely and quiet and completely secluded. On arrival I was handed a sheet telling me about all the site information. One of the things it mentioned was, "The (electricity) hooks-ups are quite sensitive to over-loading; moisture or faulty connections." The level of electricity is also very low, unusually so. After the third night our caravan battery had been drained completely and although there was charge going in to the van it was so low it could not support the fridge, the CD player / radio and the water pump was struggling. We ended up putting the fridge on gas, turning the hot water off completely and having everything that went through the battery off most of the remaining time. The other issue was the shower. No where on the information sheet does it say that you need a 50p piece for 5 minutes. On arrival I was not told either. Luckily I had read some of the reviews and knew about it. The shower only gets hot after it has run for a while so you really need to two 50p pieces. The day before leaving I asked for help with the electrics and the attitude of the chap was that the problem was not likely to be his electricity supply but rather my 35 year old van. After leaving early we went to a club site and everything started working again. Other guests had experience fuses tripping. Would I visit again? The answer would have to be no. If they sorted the electricity out and the shower then it would be a lovely little site.
