We were very much looking forward to our stay at this CL as we are plane geeks. The site was well kept but small the smallest CL we’ve stayed on. It is right next to a very busy road and as we were pitched right next to it just a fence between us it was very noisy with cars and farm traffic both day and night so couldn’t really sit out and relax, we knew there would be plane noise but not road noise. But our main gripe was the fact that even though the site listed dog friendly there was actually no where to walk the dog on site or off site, the only way to walk them is to walk along the very very busy and fast road (60mph) with no pavement just a small verge covered in brambles which our dog couldn’t walk on so we had to brave the road dodging HGVs and all sorts a few hundred yards to a residential lane to walk him up and down. Some campers were getting in their cars to drive to the lane and walk the dog not ideal especially if your in a motorhome. We had no option but to leave and find another site more suitable. Saying that if you’re a plane buff with no kids or dogs it’s an ideal site for you.
