Relaxing stay

Relaxing Stay, arrived for a two night stay on a wet and windy day, unable to park on the field due to water logged site, but was able to park on the newly built entrance. Easy access to drinking water and an excellently maintained WC. Would recommend for a lovely short stay. Very good value for £7 a night Thanks Pete

Lovely Overnight Stop

Great find. Just off the M5. We had travelled from the North East and were ready for the break in our journey. Host is very welcoming and we would like to thank her for her warm welcome. Peaceful and tranquil spot. We had a walk into the village and to the local church. We walked up the hill to Ralphs wood. However very wet, so just had a quick look. Would defiantly recommend this site. we would use it again when travelling south. Many Thanks Ian & Joy

Peace and quiet in abundance

Stayed here for 2 nights on our way back from Devon. Lots of room in the field, and a great adjoining hedge if you want to go blackberrying. Although not far from the M5, we could not hear the traffic - just the chimes of the local church clock. The horse and donkey are lovely to watch, and the geese have a bit of a showdown now and again, but all the animals are kept off the site by a good fence. The toilet is very charming, not quite what I expected in a breeze block lean-to, very clean, well-stocked and even had potted plants. We cycled to nearby Burnham, and there is a SusTrans cycle route along the beach from Burnham to Brean Down. Everything that can be expected on a farm site, and at the excellent rate of £6 per night.

Lovely site.

Have just returned from 3 nights at Dene Hollow in our motorhome. What an absolutely idyllic site, so quiet and well maintained. The horses and donkey are just gorgeous and the geese fascinating. We can find nothing negative to say about this site and the friendly welcome received, all for £6 per night, is just a bargain. Will definitely return! Phil & Sue Neate Motorhome.

Great Site

Well maintained site and the owners couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Located in a quiet hamlet and great for a peaceful stay with good dog walking in the area. The toilet is kept spotlessly clean and the site is mown regularly, what more could you ask for in a CL.

Great value site.

Just spent two very relaxing days here. As others have said, very friendly people, so too is molly the dog. Large mown field easy access to CDP and water taps and a spotless toilet. Just how a CL should be.

Perfect stopover

A fabulous site, nicely located for an overnight stop on M5, or for a longer stay to vist nearby places of interest. Convenient for a quiet stroll up the Knoll, or to the excellent local pub. A lovely spacious level field, pristine toilet shed, good disposal facilities a friendly welcome all for a very fair price. Highly recommended.

Quiet and peaceful. Can't fault it.

We've coming to this site for over 35 years. With 3 generations of our family. Never once had any issues at all. Grass has always been adequately cut. Basic yes, but suits us. What would anyone expect for the price. A friendly family run site. No complaints from us or our family. Well done molly quite a achievement running a cl site for so many years. Long may you continue.

Simply heaven - like CLs used to be

A lovely large well-mown field, peace and quiet and lovely views of the neighbouring church spire - with the added bonus of a spotlessly clean toilet. This is how I remember CLs when I was little, when you didn't need to book, you'd just turn up and pitch up in the farmer's field - but usually then there was no toilet! We met and stayed here with 4 outfits as a family to celebrate my sister's birthday. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. As the festivities needed to be kept outside they lent us gazebos in case the weather turned (but luckily we had wall to wall sunshine) We took a walk to neighbouring Lympsham where there was a fete and classic car show. There is also a lovely walk to Brent Knoll. Although there is no hook up (what do you expect for £5/night?!) the owners offered to run an extension cable from the house if we needed it (but we didn't - we just went back to the simple life of running everything of gas and battery - it certainly made packing a lot easier!) It was the perfect place to reunite our family for this special occasion. Thanks Dene Hollow! PS You can safely ignore the previous poor review. The elderly owner had fallen and was unable to mow the field at the time of the other review. Her family now live on site and help run the CL - and very well too! Perfect if you want to get back to some traditional caravanning.
