Blackberry Time
I fully agree with the last two reviews, this is a great site. After I initially booked I had second thoughts from a look at google street view but after a subsequent conversion with Serge about access and his commitment to insure that no tree branches would damage my motorhome, we honoured the booking and we were glad we did. Serge had cut off any overhanging branches increasing the access clearance to accommodate my vans height of 3.4 meters and we had an enjoyable 3 night stay on this large level CL. It is within easy walking distance of Sandy Heath and a cycleway accessed from a site gate runs between the Heath and Potton. The centre of Potton which has all services is 1-3/4 miles away (about a half our walk) and passes the Biggleswade-Sandy bus stop at 3/4 mile away and the Royal Oak pub at a mile away. The RSPB visitors centre is a short drive away along the busy B1042 but it is possible to walk or cycle there along the back lanes. Using this latter route it is about 2 miles away. There is a choice of 8 pitches which are well spaced apart on this large level field. Water from 3 water points is never far away although to use some of the marked pitches you will need a 25 meter hook up lead. The immediate area of heath and woodland is popular with dog walkers and at this time of year the CL field yields a good crop of blackberries as does the Heath.
