Passed by many times, now stayed and will return

Stopped for 2 nights and price was £50. Many people use this as an overnighter on the way by from the M5, you can see the motorway from the site and the traffic noise is no bother. The shower/toilet pods were clean and excellent to use and unexpected . We walked into Droitwich Spa along the busy road, only as the towpath route was rather soggy. The layout is good with large hardstandings. 16A EHU, tap and drain on each pitch. Appears to be lots of footpaths and the main canal accessed just up the road. Droitwich Spa has its lovely park and heated lido in the summer. Local supermarkets include Morrisons and Waitrose. Handy for the M5, also has a train station. Fair enough it is not a five unit CL, but I have a feeling if club members don’t use it, it will end up being an expensive commercial site.

Great Place to visit the area

Fabulous place, we stopped over 3 nights and with a service pitch too (which we never use usually) The price was all in with 4 of us on board and at half term too the stay was over £100 cheaper than a club site. Many people use this as an overnighter on the way by from the M5, you can see the motorway from the site and the traffic noise is no bother. The shower/loo pods were clean and excellent to use too. We walked into Droitwich to get the train to Worcester (9 mins on the train) and next day walked to Hanbury hall via canal and footpath to the estate. I wish we'd taken our bikes but that will be next visit here. The layout here and the ease of check in etc would be a great model for overnight/2 or 3 day stays at a club site.... hardstand, hook up and loo/shower no frills and make them cheaper than taking a long stay pitch...this is very motorhome friendly

Not a CL

A great location at a lovely marina. 20 mins walk along canal to Droitwich Spa, plenty of eateries and pubs and takeaways. Easy access from M5, Good access to canal towpaths for walks/rides, footpaths straight from site, nice well kept grass, nice views, spacious pitches, fully serviced, all hard standing and most of pitches are level except for the bottom five. This is where it stops being a CL. Total of 16 pitches which were full on our visit plus two tents, and only two toilet/ shower pods for the whole site. M5 can be seen from site and noise is heard all day and night. We would return again though 🙂👍🏻

Neat little site

Lovely clean tidy site with 2 very clean little pod showers ,which we weren’t expecting. Easy walk along towpath to nice pub by canal serving nice food. Easy cycle to Hanbury Hall along a footpath, well worth a visit. Just off the motorway which you could hear but not a bother. All in all lovely stay will definitely return.

A gem of a CL. Ideal for visiting Droitwich & Worcester.

We stayed 4 nights April / May 2023. We are generally ralliers so a dripping tap is what we are used to. The super pitch was a treat, and almost idiot proof. (Thank you to the kind Welshman who pointed out you have to turn the power off before removing the plug) We had planned our stay around the St Richards canal & beer festival. We love beer & live music. The festival provides both in good measure, we can thoroughly recommend the event. A steady 25 minute walk along the towpath in to Droitwich is easy and a chance to view the canal and wild life. We rode our bikes a few times, a very pleasant and easy ride. Droitwich is a pleasant small town, well worth a mooch round. A little further is Worcester, the Cathedral and city is definitely woth taking time to visit. The site is really well laid out with plenty of room between pitches, noise from the motorway didn't bother us at all, and the lovely Mrs B is a very light sleeper. We did lots of cycling, other campers were fishing, walking and kayaking, the rugby club is next door if that's your thing. Overall a very good site in a very good location.

Unexpected delight

This site is only just off the M5, in fact you can see and hear the motorway but this is not a problem at all. The pitches are hard standing with water, electric and grey waste. There are 2 shower/toilets with heating! The Marina is host to 300 narrow boats on the canal, quite a sight! We had not planned to stay here but were flooded on our previous site so had to move but were really delighted with this site. It is worth spending a few days here en route as the tow path takes you to Droitwich Spa one way or the pub and Hanbury Hall (NT) the other. Part of the joy of motor homing to us, is exploring different parts of the UK and finding places that we didn't know existed!

Excellent

We chose a local site as it was the first time with a new towcar. Very nice welcome from the man in the Reception who could not have been more helpful. Reception also has a small shop. The site is very pleasant with new trees planted and lots of daffodils. Two shower rooms with toilets and basins, very nicely fitted out. All serviced hardstandings, most level some slightly sloping and nice views all round. Lots of walks with towpaths and footpaths so good for dogs. Very nice towpath walk into Droitwich, a lovely town. We thought this would be our only trip to Droitwich Marina, it will be the first of many.

A Little Gem

Arriving here in the heat after a 6 hour, solo, drive from Cornwall, I was delighted with this pretty site. Located about 5 minutes from the M5 , the site is ideal for a stop over for anyone travelling from the North down to the South West. Easy to find, well laid out & beautifully kept, what’s not to like ? Water, electrify & waste drainage are on your pitch. Toilet emptying is on the right as you leave the CL & recycling is available as you leave the marina. A new toilet/shower pod is available. All communication with the owners was excellent , I changed my dates & they kindly accommodated this. I didn’t leave the site to eat, but Droitwich Spa is very close & the site information board gives details of take always. Very slight background noise from the motorway didn’t keep me awake. I’d have no hesitation in returning. Highly recommended .

Fabulous stay!

I rarely write a review but I last wrote one for this site in 2018. You can read my comments from then. After a few lockdown disappointments we returned on 3rd July to enjoy the refurbished site and to enjoy a family wedding. We were very impressed with the refurbishment - it has been landscaped beautifully, a wild place left around the edge and new fruit and other trees planted. Once all the these trees grow it will really enhance the site. Pitches are fully serviced (a bonus for us) and the refurbishment has added two shower/toilet pods. We use our own facilities but on arrival and before setting up I used one of these and was impressed by the cleanliness and space inside - all within the price of the pitch. Staff on arrival and during our stay were lovely, friendly and welcoming. Boaters too always friendly. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to unforeseen circumstances - couldn’t fault the service and friendliness of all concerned. We love this site and recommend totally, we will certainly be back! Thank you Droitwich Spa!

Very good CL

I stayed at this site for one night in our caravan en route to Yorkshire from the South. The site is very convenient for the M5 and I have no complaints whatsoever. On arrival our reception at the marina office was very good with plenty of useful information regarding the site and surrounding area. The facilities at the site are excellent and every effort has been made by the owner to provide what is needed. A new toilet and shower facility adjacent to the CL is very useful . The 30 minute walk into Droitwich Spa along the canal is very pleasant. A very interesting town with a Waitrose and Morrisons in the centre. We visited two very friendly pubs,The Hop Pole and The Talbot. This is a good CL made all the more interesting by the nearby marina and canal. I would not hesitate in using the site the again 30 June 2022
