The Quintessential CL

This is a CL as they used to be, no frills, peaceful and quiet, no ehu and VERY reasonable price. You have all that you need with black waste disposal and fresh water both easy to use and close to hand. The site, whilst just a mile or so outside Nairn (and its Sainsbury's) is in a field with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Entrance to the site is easy (our 'outfit' is 13.5m long with our twin axle caravan and truck) and you can drive straight onto the field where you pitch. The site is gently undulating and there are no marked pitches so you can find yourself a spot where you don't need too much leveling, although you may need a couple of leveling blocks just in case. We went to the part of the field in front of the cottage, and this was perfectly flat with no leveling required. We had a warm welcome and were soon settled in with our porch awning erected. The site is all grass, though I understand that there is an area where you can pitch on hard-standing if the weather is very bad. We felt that we were miles from anywhere as it was so peaceful and quiet, yet there is a Sainsbury's supermarket just 10 minutes drive away! For those of you who are looking for a good old fashioned CL with peace and tranquility this is the CL for you. There is easy access to all local amenities and is is a great spot to explore Nairnshire, an often overlooked corner of Scotland. Highly recommended and we will certainly return.
