Lovely area

We have stayed here several times. The site is approached via a yard associated with a sheep farm which is separate from the CL. Then you get to the site via an area where permanent vans are located. Once on the site it is very peaceful with lovely views and an abundance of birds. And of course, the sound of lambs and sheep in a truly rural setting. The pitches are all hardstanding and do slope, so levelling blocks for the caravan are essential. I suspect this may be more of a problem for motorhomes but not a problem at all for a van. The toliet block (one toilet, washbasin and shower, which is charged at £1 for 6 minutes) has been renovated and each person on the site has a key so it cannot be used by people from off the site. Plenty of toliet roll but only cold water in the sink. The electricity supply is 10A so care needs to be taken not to overload the breaker when the heating is on an you boil a kettle, which is common to many sites with 10A supplies! Overall this is a quiet peaceful site, within easy reach of all Anglesey's attractions. We shall certainly come again.

I cannot see how you can say nice things about this site.

It is almost impossible to find it due to lack of obvious signs from the main road.

The club portion of this site is separated from the long-term caravans and the club pitch facilities are adequate, although the pitch numbering system is incorrect in relation to online booking numbering. The non-club portion of the site looked like a gypsy camp. We saw no hint of the owner or manager while we were there.

My husband reported that the toilet area was smelly & dirty &, judging from the very large, very full waste-bin of spent toilet paper rolls, had clearly not been cleaned in weeks. No windows, no proper shower enclosure, bare breeze blocks inside & out. I took one look and refused to enter or use it. If this is a newly renovated facility, I cannot imagine how bad the old one was.

This was an appalling site & cost us, pre-booked £20/night. It should not be in the club portfolio as it does not reflect the otherwise high standards of the club which we have come to trust.
