As we arrived we were greeted by Dave and Louise who own this CL. They were so very friendly and most welcoming, taking their time to walk with us around the site and helping us to decide on which pitch to choose. We were treated to home made scones with lashings of strawberry jam and fresh cream soon after arrival and we felt that this was a lovely gesture. The setting is super, the pitches pretty level and well drained and most with a splendid view over the Mersey Estuary in the distance. It is a very tranquil location in the Cheshire countryside, great for walking but also not far by car from Chester and Cheshire Oaks for those who crave a spot of retail therapy. The White Lion pub is only about two miles away and serves excellent food at a reasonable price, a point illustrated by the fact that when we visited on a Sunday lunchtime there was hardly a free table! Their menu is on line for those who like to ponder their choice in advance. Altogether highly recommended and we shall definitely try to return again before the end of the season.
