A great 5 days.

Have just returned from Elms Farm Cl we stayed for 5 nights and my sons family came also. The entrance was excellent no worries with our double wheel base caravan. The overall width of the CL is a little tight but each pitch was well marked and the grass was really nice, short and lush. No problem using awning pegs and having fully serviced pitches was wonderful. Information hut was okay and the chemical toilet point was fine. Easy to access local towns etc. If up in the Cotswolds again would definitely use this site.

Lovely peaceful site

Stayed here to attend an outdoor event which was cancelled due to bad weather. Fortunately this was compensated by being on this well kept and lovely location of this CL. The owner made us feel very welcome on arrival. The open aspect andvview over the russet fieldvto the wooded hillsidevin the distance made for a pleasnt stay. Nearby Winchcombe is a lovely olde world Cotswold town to browse and Tewkesbury a short drive away.

Excellent Cl

We have just returned from a 8 night stay. It was just perfect our sister and brother in law joined us in the freight wagon which was excellent. It could not have been better we only had a few steps to visit them and them us. The views were amazing and the owners where so attentive. It was a five star service. We will certainly be returning.

One of the best

Have just come home from a fortnight break at Elms Farm, one of the best CL’s that we have visited in over 40 years in the club. From the ease of booking, with their own website, to the high standard of facilities it couldn’t have been better. Waking up to the delightful view across to the hills with sheep in the foreground was a bonus.Owners very friendly made the stay. Access was easy and there was plenty to keep us occupied for two weeks with local Cotswold towns and sites. The Sunday morning cafe run by their son was great way to start the day. Definitely one for another visit.

Great site for a peaceful break

Access was very simple, we had an envelope on the door giving us a pitch and also it was on a board onsite. The pitches are huge. There was enough room for the caravan, awning and two cars without being squeezed in. The views were amazing, with a field of sheep and a rolling hillside in the distance. There is a shop run on an honesty basis selling the essentials and sculptures and local apple juice. Rose was extremely helpful with information about the walk through the fields to the Royal Oak. We didn't really like that pub but we had a really warm welcome and great food from Ye Olde Hobnails Inn in Little Washbourne. This was a short drive but well worth it. It was fascinating watching the family getting the sheep in for shearing. The pitches were mowed each time someone left and the grass on site was very well kept. We would love to visit again sometime.

Wonderful farm site

From the moment we arrived we had a very warm welcome from Rose and her family. Fabulous site with wonderful open views all around. Quiet apart from the sound of the steam train puffing by several times a day. Idyllic. There are lovely walks from the site into nearby Gretton with a great pub, and about a 3 mile walk into Winchcombe where you can see the steam trains up close while enjoying a coffee and cake at the station. We brought our bikes and the minor roads around are great to cycle on. The site is level and each pitch is fully serviced. A small shop is on site selling milk, eggs, tomatoes, honey and local rapeseed oil. Definitely one of the best and friendliest CLs we’ve ever stayed on. We will be visiting again as soon as we can.

Fantastic

We spent three nights here and really enjoyed our stay. We googled the route from Cheltenham and decided a better option for us was coming from the M5 which was an easy route. Site access very good and check in easy as our pitch number was both on our payment envelope and on a board. Pitch was quite level with fresh water tap and grey waste into the hedge. Good Elsan and bins provided at the other end of the pitch area along with a farm horsebox shop selling milk/eggs/bacon etc. This is a working farm so dogs must be kept on leads, it was great watching Rose & Martyn working with their dog/sheep! 30 minute walk over the fields to the village, and a short walk to the small lake was pleasant in the evenings. We ate at the Royal Oak which served great food and the service was excellent. Great to watch the steam train in the distance, we found the site very peaceful with little in the way of road noise apart from the odd tractor. Nearby Winchcombe is very quaint and Cheltenham a shoppers paradise if that's your thing. Would definitely come here again if we return to the area. Thank you Rose/Martyn for your very warm welcome.

Cotswolds Delight

I can see why many CL visitors keep sites like this to themselves. The access is fine from the nearby main road, with a short drive up the farm track to the grass pitches.Details for your pitch are on a rack by the front door, and the owner visits you later. Each pitch has electric and water and waste containers and chemical toilet emptying point are neatly hidden behind a screen partition. The site is handy for Winchcombe,Cheltenham and Tewksbury, there is a off road walk into Greeton for local pubs. Prescott hill climb track and Bugatti museum are next on my list when we return.

Excellent CL

This was such a great stay! In fact we returned a second time within the same month as we had enjoyed the site so much. Each pitch is spacious with a great view of sheep pastures and the hills beyond. Each pitch has its own water and electric supply. There's even a little shop in a converted horse box with milk and eggs etc. The pitches are level. The grass is regularly mowed. And the owners are helpful and very welcoming and friendly. It's a lovely quiet spot for a relaxing time. The song of the skylarks was a real feature. We would recommend it!
