second visit but not our last

This is our second trip to Anglesey and our second stay with Ceri at Erw Bant. there are no facilities but water and waste and EHU. This little gem of a site is tucked nicely into the village, No road noise just cattle and school children in term time. Entry can be tight and you definitely have to go go slow and carefully but once in its fine. A great location to visit the whole island and also Conwy and Colwyn bay and surrounding areas. We will definitely be visiting again.

Keep it secret......

We just returned from a week at this little gem of a place. Ynys Mon is a place of natural beauty and this lovely CL is another example. The site owners (Ceri & Hugh) have made available the perfect place to site yourself for as active or quiet a break as you desire. The site is a well kept paddock with excellent facilities for servicing the needs of your van. You do have to be OK with using your own toilet & shower as there are none on site. Fresh water is in the paddock. Grey/black waste servicing is 50-100 yds away in a purpose built service area as are the recycling bins. The views of Snowdonia are just perfect. Luckily our first night there was cold. Lucky you say? Yes lucky because in the morning Snowdon range was a magiical expanse of whiteness. It was beautiful. Remember there's no such thing as 'bad weather' just the 'wrong clothes'. What more to say about this lovely CL? Don't tell everybody about it, it's so lovely we need to keep it secret. We have already booked to go back....

The best CL we have ever stayed at!

Our first visit to Anglesey as visitors in 26 years. We live an hour away in North Wales so haven’t stayed for a long time. Absolutely wonderful CL, great welcome lovely large pitches - and the views! Wow, just wonderful. As a base we could get to each side of the Island quickly and to the furthest areas via the A55 in half an hour. Shops and lots of hot food choices 5 minutes drive away at Benllech. Great for dogs, walking from site and large field onsite too. We will certainly be back regularly for the lovely peaceful location, stunning views, great hosts and ease of getting everywhere! A perfect quiet break for us.

A great break after the events of the year

This our first visit , but not our last. Erw Bant is a real hidden gem. It began with a real warm friendly welcome from Ceri. Others have said entrance a bit tight. my experience was it was my mistake in misjudging but got in. Ceri showed us the waste disposal area Inc chemical loo. Hugh has put in a nice touch of a ramp to help in the emptying of waste water. We had pitch no 2. This is just inside the CL. Very convenient for the fresh water tap.The grass is very well kept by Ceri and Hugh, including the removal of clippings. All pitches have amazing views of mainland and Snowdon. It is a very quiet site, except for the occasional moo from the other side of the hedge, but this is a rural area. 😁 We did see wild rabbits at the bottom of CL If coming out of the site you turn right to get to main road, you understand why you would not get up with a van Ceri and Hugh are very warm and welcoming, and are around to make sure all is ok[ and a laugh to. You feel you have known them ages, not just the short time on site? You are ideally placed for Red Wharf, Benellach but also you can get to A5 very quickly for other side of Anglesey. Now we have found Erw Bant, we will be back, even for long weekends. We would highly recommend you try this hidden gem of a CL

stunning views when the mist lifted

we visited on Aug 8th for a week and it was superb. A beautiful little site tucked away in a quiet little village. the most noise we heard was the birds, cows and sheep. Ceri welcomed us on arrival and showed us our pitch and where everything was. The layout is spot on as nobody can block any ones views of the mountains in the distance. These views were subject to the welsh weather but when the mist lifted it was spectacular. some pitches were slightly sloped but appeared ok. we had pitch 2 just inside the gateway and that was good for us. Hugh kept the grass cut nicely and no cuttings left on the ground. plenty of space to keep your distance and still chat to the neighbours. The directions to get there are spot on, found it no problem. Definitely do not use sat nav directions as the road from the other direction is practically impossible to negotiate without a caravan on the back. I will say be careful on entering as it is a little tight but perfectly manageable. we will return next year and look forward to it.

Another Great CL

We have just returned from a two and half week stay at this wonderful CL. The owners Ceri and Hugh are great hosts and are always ready to have a laugh and a bit of banter with the odd joke thrown in. The site itself has well mown grass with all pitches having wonderful views of Snowdonia as a backdrop. The CDP and waste water facilities are top notch. A previous review mentioned the tight entrance but its easy to negotiate with a bit of care but make sure you follow the sites directions and don't follow the Satnav as that will take you along a very narrow road not suitable for caravans. The site is very well situated for the east side of Anglesey and only a 5 min drive to get to the sea at Red Dwarf Bay and Benllech. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked for next year. Lets hope all these good reviews don't make it too popular! Pete and Sue (aka the noisey one).

Peace and quiet on a delightful site in a beautiful area

Well this is definitely one of those little gems that you really don't want to tell people about as you want to be able to go time and time again. We were met by Ceri on arrival, an absolutely delightful lady and such a pleasure to meet. She showed us through to the pitches and we were able to choose where we wanted to go. The grass was immaculate, obviously mown frequently and cuttings collected. Around the field is a lovely nature loving border with various shrubs in and wild grasses and flowers which encouraged a good number of butterflies whilst we were there. Facilities are very clean and well positioned and PIR lights are placed around the entrance to the field and by the facilities so light is available when needed. There was a comprehensive box of tourist information available. Ceri gave us a lot of information too as to where we would find certain places and was able to recommend a lovely Chinese take away to us. During the week were there, Ceri came round daily to check the site and was more than happy to stay and chat and was so friendly, she even came the evening before we left to wish us a safe journey. Much of the time, there was not a sound apart from the birds singing. The outlook from the site was amazing, beautiful natural scenes from all round the pitches and as the farm is quite high up, there was an extensive view over the valley and further hills. Do follow the travelling instructions they send you, they become very clear when you get off the main roads and they detail the very best route into the site, if you do not follow them, you will end up on an extremely narrow road with quite a hill on it. If we go to Anglesey again, this will definitely be our site of choice. There is good access to all of Anglesey and also to the mainland as it is so close to the Menai Bridge and the newer bridge, so there is easily enough to do to warrant a fortnight stay there, wish we'd stayed more than a week. Thank you so much for such a lovely week Ceri, have to say we enjoyed your CL more than the award winning site we stopped at on the way home.

Fantastic hidden gem

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners, Ceri. Ceri was very helpful, showing us to our pitch and giving us a guided tour of where the facilities were. The site is very well maintained and pitches are spacious with beautiful views of Snowdonia in the distance. It is perfectly placed to visit many of the great places in anglesey eg.Llyn Parc Woodland, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Penmon, Red Wharf Bay, Benllech, Holy Island and many others just a short drive away. There is also plenty to do just a little further away, in Snowdonia. We had plenty to do for the 9 day stay and plenty more that we have yet to do. We will definitely book again to continue our adventure in Anglesey.
