Very peaceful

We have just returned from 2 nights and have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entrance is just off the main Chester road and does come up quite quickly. The site is a gently sloping area with very lush grass, you will need levelling blocks but it’s not too steep. 10amp electric wasn’t a problem for us, we managed fine. The site is just on the end of the village and is very quiet. The large trees do stop almost all the traffic noise from the main road. The top of the field pitch we were on was really nice, the sun set over the trees and we had no shade until quite late which was nice. A very quiet and well maintained site. We didn’t use the toilet or showers on site so can’t comment. This site is ideal for exploring Chester and further afield. Would recommend.

Okay for day trips

Short stay in July. In fact, it feels like you are staying in the back garden of the very kind and helpful Mr. and Mrs. Lyon. Fine if you plan excursions (to Chester or Liverpool). No seperate wc and shower (coins). It is up to the guests to keep it clean and so it was very dirty.

Nice but a little noisy

I found it difficult to give an overall rating because I wanted to give it 3.5 but obviously that is not an option, 3 is too low but 4 is perhaps a bit generous as it is quite noisy. The location is lovely plus its great for visiting the local area and the horse is the next field is a great character. We struggled to level off because of the slope, probably down to the fact that our blocks sunk in the lovely lush grass, but its the noise that sticks in the mind (Noise from adjacent A56 Chester Rd). Perhaps its best for others to give it a go and see what they think as I certainly would not advise people to stay away - its too nice for that.

Lovely time

We stayed here for 13 nights during the July 2018 heatwave.Beautiful site, well kept and very nice helpful owners. From this site we drove into Chester found free car parking,Liverpool, North Wales. We visited Delemere Forrest 10 miles away great walks need coins for car park. The toilet and shower an added bonus. Recycling on site. Information shed useful - maybe some more up to date information nearest Doctors,Hospital, etc Ate at the Hornsmill pricey but good quality food. A great find we will definitely be back

Back Again

Take care at entrance because the new Club sign could easily be missed. The logo should be much bigger, sign is the same size as before but the new loco is difficult to see, having been before we new where it is. Mrs Lyons came out to us, and showed us our pitch. A lovely lawned site with beautiful flower beds. We once again enjoyed are stay, on this lovely cl.

A convient site to use for liverpool and chester

Fairhaven An easy site to find be careful as the drive is a bit tight. Also remember it is only 10amp and if it trips there is no switch for you to turn it back on, you have to phone the house and ask them to do it, it happened to us and no one there, we had to join our spare lead and connect to a another point till someone came home, we were not the only ones it happened to. Very good to catch the bus to Chester a five minute walk to the stop. There is a Tesco store not more than a mile away, when leaving site turn left then turn right onto the A56 turn right at traffic lights then left after the garage you cannot miss it, over the road to the store turning, is a fish and chip shop and Indian take away. Yet again there is an information shed but nothing to tell you where the nearest A & E, dentist or vets are etc. If you visit Liverpool and go by train it is £5.20 return the 20p covers the crossing on the ferry otherwise it is £10 each quite a saving. You can get a bus opposite weatherspoon pub which takes you to the station.

ILL BE BACK

we stayed on this cl over the bank holiday weekend and what can i say apart from we will be back. it is a very well kept site and the owners are very friendly and helpful with local information. we visited cheshire oaks for some shopping and the next day we went to chester zoo with our 6 year old. he loved the site as he had the freedom to ride his bike and play in front of the caravan barefoot as the grass is clean and kept very well. the waste disposal is a little awkward but not enough to spoil your stay. we will definately return to this beautiful very friendly and well kept cl and we cant wait.

Very tidy site

Found this site in order to attend the Rugy League Final in Manchester in October 2015. Site was easy to find from motorway .Care needed when turning into drive if cars are parked in road opposite . I had no problem entering the lovely lawned cl site. the owner welcomed me and showed me the two vacant pitch's from which I could choose. The toilet, shower  and waste are placed close to the Bungalow . EHU and water supply being close to each pitch.  The ground slopes slightly in both direction's , so you may need a wedge under one wheel . This is a very attractive site, with lovely flower beds even in October. A bus stop five minutes walks take's you to Chester/Warrington .The pub by the bus stop offers food deals, a Chinese restaurant is about ten minutes walk. The sound of the church bell on Sunday morning, added to the country scene along with the sheep grazing in the adjacent field . We enjoyed this stay on a very tidy cl, we will be back.

The site for Chester

Stayed here for 2 week, mid May to early June. Easy access and warm welcome. Site is lawned on a very slight slope with well spaced pitches. Electricity, water and waste conveniently positioned. There is a shower and toilet room available as part of the main building. Dog walk direct from site  along fenced off fields of sheep and goats. There is netted pond within the site. There is some road and aircraft noise but nothing intrusive. This site is ideally placed for Chester, Liverpool and the Wirrall with good road access and a bus stop just 2 minute walk away. Will stay here again when in this area
