No internet on telephone

We had a warm welcome and the place looks great. But both our telephones had very bad internet. The owner told that it changes all the time and you had to walk a bit to find a good connection. That made us decide not to stay there, although it looked perfect.

Exactly what I want in a CL

If you want a peaceful, remote site to get away from it all, this is for you. It's a generously sized field, fresh water tap, loo emptying point, bins and recycling, and that's about it, but with such beautiful views and peace and tranquility, what more do you need? The field is big enough that all 5 vans are well spaced out and all with great views up the coast to the NE. There's a slight slope, so levelling blocks are advised, and as it's an exposed coastal headland, come prepared for some blowy weather. The approach road is narrow in places, but with good visibility ahead and plenty passing places. Given that the excellent Strumble Shuttle Bus service which you can flag down at the entrance to the site can make it along the road, with a bit of planning in advance, and careful driving, you should be able to as well. If the weather keeps you confined to your van for a bit, the TV signal is excellent, and the mobile signal is adequate, but hopefully you'll get great weather like I did and be able to get out and explore the coast path direct from the site, and enjoy the crystal clear night skies with the eerie beam of the lighthouse sweeping overhead.

Stunning views

Visited mid September. Beautiful, unspoilt peaceful site, on dairy farm. Can be windy as on hilltop overlooking the bay. Footpath from site to coastal footpath and secluded bay with stony beach, 10 minute walk. Would have had morning g swim but beach was closed - late Aug - Oct, as seals were breeding. Saw seal pups and seals several times - magical. Only improvement would be to mow the grass now and again, as feet get soaked in the morning dew. Would visit again.

Beautiful site and area

Located a few minutes walk from the lighthouse this is a beautiful site in an area of outstanding beauty. A gently sloping site allowing all vans to have great seaward facing views - in a working diary farm where you can see the cows heading in and out for their milking sessions twice a day. A magical place even when wet but a real joy when the sun shines.

Breathtaking views

Stunning location  Peaceful can get onto the coastal path direct from farm . Had a wonderful few days here . Will be returning to bag a few more miles on the coast path. My sat nav took me down a very narrow lane , had green scrape marks on both sides of van . There is a wider road though , Just follow signs for stumble head and you will see the cl on the right

Perfect peace and quiet - and great views

I just love this CL, having stayed there several times. It is 'just' a field, with water and waste provision. Nothing else. Well - nothing else apart from superb sea and inland views, great walks, stunning scenery and perfect peace and quiet. I love to walk with my dog every evening down to the Strumble Head lighthouse, to watch the sunset over the Irish Sea. You have to be quite confident with your towing, because getting there involves single track lanes with passing places, but it is well worth it.
