We're just back from our very first visit to a CL site. Although we've caravanned for years, we've only ever been on 'normal' sites. Well after our visit to Fieldhead Farm we'll definitely be going to more CLs. The booking process was very straightforward, and the owner's relaxed attitude on the phone is just what we like. The site is easy enough to access, although as has been said on other reviews, you really do need to follow the directions given, and ignore your satnav. On arrival you're left to get sorted out without any rules on how to pitch. The pitches themselves are all very large. Plenty of room for an awning and two cars. You are on a working farm, so there was some noise, but you're far enough away that it's really not an issue. There's a handy little shed with information leaflets, games, books, walking routes, and suggestions for places to eat. We would certainly go again, and almost certainly will be doing.
