Just returned from a weekend at Fieldhead Farm and it couldn't have been better. The communication from the owner was friendly and informative, the detailed directions on the web site were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We used the site as a base for a weekend at Alton Towers to celebrate my daughters 8th birthday for which the site is perfectly located. The site is perfect, wide gravel hard standings, a purpose built chemical toilet disposal point (not a hole in the ground), a hut containing local information, books and games to borrow. The site also boasts its own small kitchen with a washing machine, large sink with hot water for cleaning your pots & pans and a modern, clean toilet area. To top it off there is a freezer containing locally produced ice cream. I couldn't praise this site enough, nor the friendly and considerate owner.
