If Carlsberg did CL's...

Earlier in the year we had tried to get booked in here at the summer school holiday start, but it was full. However, Anna put us onto a nearby small site. It is important to support CL's, so for the Autumn half term this was our first choice, and we managed to get booked in for a long weekend. Correspondence by email was prompt and simple. We were able to arrive earlier than planned thanks to a late notice inset day. Anna reiterated the need to follow the directions, so a run past the JCB factory was a telling end to the journey. The reason for the no sat nav roads was given, idiot boy racers revved up to get to Alton Towers cause all sorts of carnage. Our trip coincided with Scarefest at Alton Towers, se we were able to get in late on the Friday. The beauty of Merlin Annual Passess being you don't have to worry about how often you visit. Arrival at the CL was on a beautiful autumnal afternoon with the leaves turning and a bright sun setting. The approach is straight forward, just go slowly. We had a choice of pitches, so pitched diagonally on number 1. Set up. Went off to Alton Towers and on return, settled up fees. Saturday, we awoke to a glorious sun rise through the trees on the CL. The water tap and grey waste are a pleasant stroll away. The honesty box for a tub of ice cream was a neat feature. Other items are also available. The chemical disposal is discretely fenced off. This CL is simply stunning and illustrates the passion the owners put into it. That it is a brief drive from Alton Towers is great. We will return, hopefully many times in the future. Excellent.
