Lovely visit despite poor weather and very unfair reviews

I feel I need to address some of the adverse reviews that this site has received recently. We have just returned from a very windy weekend with our dog. We had a very friendly welcome and were allocated a pitch (24) on the main park. The campsite is on the fens and is therefore "in the middle of nowhere", if you had done your homework beforehand, you would know this, it makes for a very peaceful stay. "Not dog friendly..."-are you kidding, my dog and I walked through the woods, down beside one lake, onto a public footpath, back towards reception onto the dogs off the lead field, which had an activities trail and not a single dog poo in sight, carried on past reception, on towards the main lake and all the way around. What could be more dog friendly? We passed the cafe one evening and were attracted by the lovely smells and discovered meals being cooked for delivery to people's pitches-wow, that's service for you! As for dog mess on pitches, we noticed some duck poo, as there were delightful ducks waddling freely around. Potholes? What potholes.....? You do have to use your car to get around but there are many pleasant towns to visit in the area. Our only negative comment would be the waste pipe on our pitch has to flow uphill to drain, apart from that, the site is immaculate and we would definitely return if we were in the area again.
