Just outside the village of Doddington is this quiet and peaceful adults only CL site which we thought was excellent. We booked last minute and although the toilet / shower faccilities were not open (due to C19) this did not spoil our stay. We found the wardens / management friendly and helpfull despite being extra busy at this difficult time. We felt that all the necessary safety precautions were kept to by both site staff and visitors. Whilst its true the majority of people go for the fishing, we also enjoyed cycling in the area and walks too. Both lakes are well stocked and maintained. Fishing was very enjoyable and the bailifs do check your fishing gear, inc the requirement to use a landing net and decent mat to unhook the fish. Colin and Sandra at the Cafe also do a great job cooking for people fishing and relaxing. I can highly recommend the Big Boy breakfast ! Overall we were very impressed with the site and can see why it is very busy. We had six nights on the CL grass area and had a great time. We will be back at some point.
