Countryside Peace

Access to the CL from the main road was easy. We were greeted by our friendly host Norman who showed us around his well kept CL. The grass is well mown and the hard standing pitches are huge with plenty of open space. The site is well sheltered as it is surrounded by fir trees. The Inn is no longer open for meals but the bar is open for a few hours at the weekend. The village is really quiet and peaceful and is in an area of acres of fields of cereal crops and potatoes. There are numerous castles in the area to explore, a National Trust members heaven! The east coast is within easy reach, where there are some stunning old fishing villages to explore. Much less touristy than the west coast but equally beautiful in a different way.
