Fjord Inn, Fisherford, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire...a not so little gem

This fine peaceful site is situated behind a small inn and has decent sized, well spaced, hardstanding pitches, sheltered by tall trees, so no view to speak of, and free WiFi. It is easily access, about 5 mls from the A96 (Huntly to Iverurie), along quiet but reasonably wide country roads. There are no footpaths close to the site but there's little traffic on the local lanes, making them suitable for cycling or walking ones dog. There are plenty of places of interest with easy driving distance, such as Castle Fraser, Fyvie Castle, Leith Hall, Haddo House and Pitmedden Gardens as well as many archaeological sites, stone circles, standing stones etc . For those that like walking there are forest trails not far away and also the Bennachie Hill Range. There is both a Tesco and an Asda at Huntly, and at Inverurie there's a Morrisons, a Tesco and both a Lidl and an Aldi....so spoilt for choise. The inn, run by the helpful and friendly site owners, is only open for a few hours Thursday through to Sunday so one is not bothered by late leavers. We found it a very relaxing place, reasonably priced at £14 pn, and would certainly visit again.
