The only noise was from the birds singing

We booked this site for easy access to the Morgan Factory where we had a tour booked. Roley met us as we arived and explained everything we needed to know. The site is, as someone else says, like a big garden. The previous comments about TV reception have been dealt with and the dog which barked seemed to have also got the message. Apparently he does sometimes bark but not at us! The 2 pubs nearby are good. We liked the newly reopened Plume of Feathers. Simple menu but good value. The other pub is much busier so less peaceful but also good food. We loved the area and will certainly go back. Lots to see and do. Bluebells on the Welsh side of the hills were spectacular. Thank you Roley for a lovely stay

A little gem!

We wanted a site close to the Malverns and I think this site really met all our needs. The site felt like a large garden surrounded by trees and shrubs. We were warmly welcomed and took the last available pitch. However, any of the pitches were level and nicely spaced. The Malverns are reached by walking nearly a mile along a bridleway so perfect for us. There were apple and plum trees all laden with fruit. The owner allowed us to pick as many as we wanted! Very much recommended!

Malverns Retreat

Greeted and directed to a pitch on a well cared for and mainly level grassed area. Good few days visiting National Trust properties and a little mountain biking.  Helpful and chatty owner often circulated the site with his two Corgi dogs, one of which unfortunately likes to mark anything he can raise a leg to. If you're not keen on dogs, you might want to reconsider visiting here. Toilets clean, shower 50p on a meter. TV reception is very poor although the owner assured us he intends to resolve this next year. Occasional drain odour came from a ducted stream running through the site. The road noise mentioned by other reviewers was noticeable but not too intrusive. We enjoyed eating al fresco each evening without a problem.

A Really Nice CL.

We recently spent 7 nights at this site. The owner is very welcoming and helped us to pitch our van and obtain water. The site itself is relatively easy to find and access off the main road is excellent. It is almost like camping in someones garden. The shower and toilet facilities were very good and clean. All in all one of the best CL sites we have stopped on and if we are in that part of the country again would certainly stay again.

Small and friendly

Arrived for a weekend with friends in pouring rain but owner helped pitch up and fetched water for us. A small site which is an extension of the owners back garden however with 5 vans on it still didn't feel cramped. Tidy well kept facilities. Some road noise as site next to main road but quiet at night. Some lovely places to visit in the locality and fantastic walking on the Malvern Hills. We enjoyed a great weekend here and intend to return again.

Visit to Foothills June 2012

What a lovely 'garden' site. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. I missed the entrance and had to turn round on Castlemorton Common but my fault for following Sat Nav! The pitches had some water but in view of the amount of rain we have had, grass drained failry quickly and we were extremely lucky that we only got some downpours in the mornings and brightened up in the afternoon. There is some road noise but as the site is on the main Gloucester Road you expect this. It get quiet around 8.00 p.m. and doesn't really start up again till 8.00 a.m. Fabulous wallking in the Malvern Hills and we spent a couple of lovely afternoons walking around Castlemorton Common and up the side of one very steep hill which led onto the Hills. Facilities were very good and extremely clean and tidy. Would thorougly recommend this CL.
