Perfect spot for exploring Belfast and Islandmagee

We chose this site as our first in Northern Island, arriving in the evening off the day ferry crossing for a three-night stay. The farm setting is charming, including John's very friendly dogs, hens and ducks - eggs plentiful! The museum and campers' common room was full of local information and maps. We caught the train into Belfast from Whitehead, five minutes' drive away. A cab tour of the murals is a must! Ours picked us up from the Titanic Museum and dropped us off at the station. The Gobbins Path centre is a short walk from the site - the walk itself needs to be booked in advance. Islandmagee is interesting, particularly Portmuck harbour - great views to Scotland. The local shop (short walk from the site) is very well stocked. Definitely recommended.
