After reading other reviews, and looking at the photo's of this site, felt fairly confident I had booked a very clean welcoming site. Our hearts sank as we pulled on, felt like we were pulling onto a storage facility, with untended grass, patchy and uneven in parts, small pitch sizes and no views to speak of. This is one of the worst C.L. sites we have ever stayed on, and we have done dozens. Our pitch was alongside some caravans being stored, seperated by a narrow amount of laurel, and other caravans seemed to belong to people who may have been working in the area, as they left early and came back at tea time. You never saw them sitting out enjoying the sun or anything, making us feel in the minority. On arrival and ringing the bell at the main door, Mr whoever(never bothered introducing himself), just nodded for us to carry on past the gate and along. No real welcome, or advice or interest in us as users of his site. After the initial disappointment, I had to make a visit to the toilet facility. It was filthy, no hand soap, some rolls of kitchen paper on a dilapidated old cupboard, shower was very dirty also. The toilet shed thingy was sited at the top end of the site, with 3 steps up to the main door. Frosted glass in the door was not the most private-feeling, you felt you could be seen from all around. It is just about fit for purpose, but is very unsavoury. Do yourselves a favour, just don't use this site, the owner does not deserve your business, as is obvious by the unwelcoming neglected and downright dirty facilities that you are expected to use.
