Adverse travels in Wiltshire

This site is in a small sloping field next to the pub car park. It was very easy to find. The pitches themselves are all hardstanding but you do have to get across the grass to them. We had no trouble but I imagine if it has been very wet this could be a huge problem as per the other reviews. The hardstanding gravel pitches are all level. We were pitched next to a hedge on the other side of which is a 'B' class road. Oh boy is this a busy road and the noise was not pleasant well into the night. There are no facilities but it does have fresh water, grey waste water shared with the chemical disposal point. There were 2 rubbish bins but no recycling on site. When we arrived (3.15p.m. Tuesday) the pub was locked up and the owners were not about. We pitched ourselves in what we though was a good spot. The lady owner arrived at 3.45 with her 2 children and went into the pub. We later went into the pub for a drink but had eaten so can't comment on what the food was like. Eventually we saw the lady owner to pay but never saw her husband. This site is not for us due to noise.
