23 January 2022. I have just spent the week at Frenton Farm. The site is now run by the son and daughter-in-law of the owners mentioned in other reviews and both were friendly and welcoming in true Cornish fashion.
I am a dog owner and despite reading the reviews about the owners’ rescued German Shepherd dog attacking a member’s dog when visiting, I decided to give the site a go as it is one of only a few sites which is open all year round. I am pleased to inform and reassure everyone that, whilst the dog is still there, the owners have taken measures to ensure that such an event should not recur; including creating a confined area for it to be in at the owner’s house and working with professionals to rehabilitate the dog.
A couple of things to note when visiting: There are no on-site shower or toilet facilities and the approach to the site from the main road needs to be negotiated with care for owners of larger/twin axle caravans.
Overall the site peaceful, well maintained and perfect for relaxing on-site or (being situated pretty much in the middle of Cornwall) travelling around the county. I concur with the many comments which reflect that this is a gem of a site. I will be returning.
