Furnace Farm
Another enjoyable stay at Furnace Farm. Due to restrictions on travel, etc., we weren't able to take our normal break in June as so made a short break in August. The views are stunning as always, especially when camped at the top of higher ground. Some lovely walks along the Welsh Coast Path through woodland and open heath in the hills at the back of Furnace village. Understandably Mrs Griffiths had closed the facilities block due to Covid as it meant constant cleaning for her. She is also trying to encourage more recycling as general waste is only collected every three week. The ground is slightly undulating so you may need to level motorhomes or caravans with chocks or jacks but we usually find a good balance without too much effort. Despite heavy rain at times the field is well drained and didn't become water logged. Motorhomers will need a portable grey water tank to dispose of waste. Looking forward to returning next year.
