Lovely CL site

Gadfa touring park is a lovely CL which is beautifully looked after and clearly has a lot of time spent on the upkeep. Three nice hard standings with electric, water & grey waste on the pitch also. Amanda is very welcoming and helpful. Easy to find and access, within easy distances to explore lots of Anglesey. Highly recommended.

Tranquil Gadfa

Just returned from a week's stay on this site. What a find , large pitches emaculatly kept by the owners with terrific view over the country side . We fell for excellent sunny weather during the day but a few storms at night. A week of total relaxation watching the buzzards overhead and a hare running around the main field. Every part of the island is easily accessed from here with lligwy beach offering soft sandy beach. The owners are very friendly and approachable but leave you to enjoy the views unless needed for directions or places of interest Give it a go you won't be disappointed wish more were like this. Gem of a site

Just returned from our second stay on this excellent CL. Credit to the owners, the site is very well cared for with generous pitches, everywhere neat and tidy whilst maintaining a back to nature feel. This time we had the whole site to ourselves, shared only with a young hare and a couple of partridges. There are lovely views in all directions, with beaches and other areas of interest easily accessible from the site. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and peaceful stay. Thank you Amanda! We hope to plan a third visit with you before too long 😊

Windy spot

This very well kept site is quite exposed and strong winds during our 3 night stay. Finding the site is not easy as it’s not sign posted from the road. The site is excellent for visiting this part of Anglesey. We particularly like Moelfre.

Beautiful site with amazing views

We was made very welcome to Gadfa touring site by Dale We was on a hard standing pitch they are huge pitches with a large strip of wild meadow between each pitch . The water electric was behind us and the toilet emptying point was excellent and well thought out and hidden behind wood as was the bins and recycling point . Well the views absolutely stunning and the weather etc made them different every time you looked out,the wildlife was great we saw a wild hare running around the site. We highly recommend finney's chippy amlwch they have two more elsewhere, they do gluten-free we did our order online and paid you chose a collection time .all very easy ,we drove and parked at bull bay to eat ours yum yum 😋 https://www.angleseyfishandchips.co.uk/ We will definitely be returning here as soon as possible So peaceful Thankyou Amanda and Dale

Wonderful

Stayed for 4 nights at this immaculate site. Amanda and Dale were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The site has beautiful open views and is very peaceful. We had the good fortune to see the local hare come on site, as well as 3 lambs who’d escaped from a nearby farm and decided Dale’s grass was tastier than theirs ! Amanda escorted them back safely. We also spotted a red squirrel on one of our walks, such a privilege! One of our dogs had a sore pad so we were unable to go to Parry’s mountain (sharp stones), but we found a lovely walk down to Dulas bay from where you can continue to Moelfre and beyond if you wish. We were in a motorhome and once parked we don’t move it, obviously with a car and caravan it is easy to access the whole island. Definitely recommended, we’ll be back.

Motorhomes given preference

Stayed 1 week from Easter Monday.Well kept site and potentially excellent, but there were practices that niggled use. Grass is fairly soft and owner is over-precious about it. No groundsheets whatsoever are permitted. The owner puts caravans on grass when busy and retains hard standings for motorhomes. You are not given a choice. Very expensive considering the restrictions. We discovered that some people were paying £22 per night whilst we were paying £25 for the same nights and we had a 7 day booking whilst theirs was less. On the Friday and Saturday nights there were 8 units on site, including 2 (connected) units on one pitch next to us. Notwithstanding the above, we did not let this spoil a very enjoyable holiday in a beautiful area.

Back again!

So 10 months on from our first ever trip out in our new motorhome and the first CL site we visited, we came back for a cheeky w/e away so that we could get away from work and home pressures. Rolled onto the site and said hello to Dale on the way in. Parked up on a hardstanding and got connected straight away with no issues. Noticed that Dale and Amanda had created a new hardstanding area next to No.2 where we were parked up. So now knowing the area a bit better we were able to explore a bit more. Dale did tell us about a good walk to do that he had discovered so we did about a third of that before the rains appeared :-( We also found a great little farm that did smoked produce just off the A5025 so we stocked up with cheese and meat goodies for our next getaway. Also dined out at the Freckled Angel on the high st of Menai Bridge so that would be a good shout for anyone who likes tapas or small plate menus. We also recognised that there is a bus stop on the A5025 opposite the end of the road that leads to the CL site which would be good to jump on and off to places if you didnt feel like driving especially some of the pubs that are on the side of the A5025. Unfortunately the weather wasnt on our side so we couldnt sit outside and bbq and chat with neighbours but this is a great CL site to use as a base now for this side of the island so is a solid go to place for Anglesey in our opinion. We found a little piece of paradise on Anglesey

We found a little piece of paradise on Anglesey at Gadfa Touring Park. On arrival we received a very friendly and helpful welcome. Our pitch was perfect and had a wonderful view over the fields, looking towards the Snowdonia Mountain range. The site is easy to access and has water, EHU and grey waste point. There are bins for general waste and recycling and Elson point all discretely hidden on the site. The owners gave us information on local attractions such as Parry's Mountain, which has a landscape like Mars. Situated in Penysarn the site is ideal for visits to local bays and lovely beaches. The are Co op and Spar shops in nearby Amlwch and a Post Office and general store in Penysarn. The site was peaceful and tranquil. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you to the owners for making us feel so welcome and relaxed here.

Our first time!

We hadnt joined the CAMC at this point but booked this site on spec and so glad we did as we were the last and only people on site. Small but perfectly formed and presented site with absolutely everything you need for a Motorhome and all done to a very high std. Being our first time we made some of the beginners mistakes but it didnt detract from our experience as this site is on a slight rise behind the owners home. It makes it slightly windy being on the rise when out at the later end of the year but I can imagine summer being superb. We only met Mr Byers briefly but he was really friendly and gave us some great pointers of where to go and visit. Definitley a site we will revisit next year given that Anglesey is only an hour away from us.
