Stopover

We just used this site as a stop-over after visiting Edinburgh before our onward journey north. Although we were booked in to the CL we were actually pitched on his commercial site - but were charged the same as if we were on the CL. The CL sits in the bottom corner of his site - but due to the 17 hours of rain the area had had the previous day, the CL was too waterlogged to risk siting a motorhome on it. We noticed a caravan was on the CL - but that could have been there for a while. There is a toilet/shower block - but reading other reviews it looks as though this is just for those staying on the commercial site. We did use the toilet block - we weren't told otherwise. It was clean, but due to COVID restrictions, the showers were out of use - but the toilets weren't. We couldn't find a drive-over motorhome grey waste disposal area - so we just used our trusty red buckets to dispose of the grey waste where allocated. This is an ideal site for visiting Fife and Kinross - an area I am familiar with as my grandparents lived nearby - and, although we never visited Loch Leven this time round, I would highly recommend a stop-over to visit Kinross, the Loch and get immersed in its history and associations with Mary Queen of Scots.
