We were really looking forward to visiting this site being located next to the canal however we were very disappointed on arrival. The site is quite small being half stone chips and half very unkempt grass - it had not seen a mower for several weeks and was very weedy. Road noise from both sides was very intrusive. Access isn’t great with three very narrow hump backed bridges in the way, very difficult to see oncoming vehicles. You cannot access the tow path from the site but need to take your life in your hands by walk-in down the lane to the bridge with no pavement. There is not fresh water on every pitch contrary to the entry on the CAMC app. The toilets and shower are modern and only a short walk away in the marina, but these are shared with the boat owners so could be busy. I don’t think we’ll be rushing back, a shame.
