What a lovely site

This is a wonderful Cl site. The grass is beautifully cut and collected so it doesn't get trailed into the van. The site is basic but that adds to it's charm. The electrics are good as is the TV reception. I can't comment on the WiFi as I'm on holiday so couldn't care less. The slope is minimal but does mean blocks are required of which there is the odd one or two provided. The walled garden is open to walk through if you wish to do so. There is ample room for five vans on site and the owner is a lovely old fella who comes to collect your fees. Will definitely revisit when in the area.

Outdated CL Site

This CL site is in a great location for exploring but it needs to be brought up to the 21st century. On entering the site you travel up an uneven surface caused by farm machinery and the entrance is a sharp turn to the right. The chemical waste point is a disgrace and badly needs upgrading to the standard of other CL’s that we have visited. There is NO WiFi on the pitches, if you want a signal you have to walk 150yds through the trees and stand outside Geddes House. We would not return.

Our own almost private estate.

Referring to other reviews, we heard little road noise and there is a Sainsbury just outside of Nairn. Yes, the site is sloping, the grass left lying and facilities fairly basic. The water tap is at the bottom of the grassy slope which with a camper we needed to drive to, luckily it was firm ground. The walled garden is a delight, there is an information shed where you can exchange books, the owner collected the money in the evening and was very pleasant. Compared to other CLs the price is reasonable. If you want expensive luxury go to a campsite!

Close to Cawdor Castle, Fort George and Culloden

Situated in an old walled garden which is in a slope, so levelling blocks required. Grass left to get a little long, and the mower leaves a lot of the cuttings behind, meaning damp dying grass gets walked inside. Rough, gravel entrance to farm lane very uneven due to use by tractors and large lorries. Very sharp turn from farm lane into walled garden area. Chemical emptying point very basic! Adjacent road used as unofficial Nairn bypass morning and evening, so quite a lot of road noise at those times - otherwise quite peaceful. Nairn is quite small and we could only find a Co-Op supermarket - good sandy beaches though.

A fine CL

This is a quiet CL, sheltered in a former walled garden. It is well maintained with the grass well mown. There were 3 vans there when we stayed, if full then the spaces between caravans may feel a little cramped although there is plenty of space on the site. Lots to see in the area. We would return.

Lovely stay

This site is in a lovely former walled garden, sheltered from the wind & a sun trap. We were welcomed by the owners husband who guided into the CL as we had missed the signage- his welcome was warm & genuine & he invited us to explore the grounds of his home during our stay. Gardens were beautiful & well maintained. Quiet, peaceful - a real gem of a simple CL ; we would definitely return as Nairn offers a really pleasant seaside town & a good spring board to explore the local coastline (don't miss Findhorn beach beyond the sand dunes!)

Sun Trap in Scotland?!

We had a great stay at this location. Plenty of room to pitch up. Well protected and a real sun trap hence the site is within a walled area once a walled garden. The owners could not be more helpful. Easy access to the area with local shops & supermarkets in easy reach. The long sandy beach is a couple of miles away and forests close by. The Cairngorms are in easy reach also with main road links for the highlands easily accessible. Red Squirrels are on site with plenty of bird life around the site. Remember this is a working farm which produces farm traffic. Loved it and will return.

Basic but nice

We had read the reviews but were not prepared for the slightly awkward entrance to the walled garden luckily the farm manager was there and he advised us to turn round in the huge farm yard We were not aware of having designated a pitch number so we pitched where we could - actually a lovely pitch No complaints re the site we loved it plenty of birds including a greater spotted woodpecker that visited most days Also very safe to take our dogs for walks round the estate roads and near enough to Nairn and rosemarkie for the dolphins - which we actually saw an amazing experience The owners also sell eggs which were large and definitely free range The only downsides - there is a lot of road noise - local traffic avoiding going through Nairn plus the site details state there is wifi - there isn't farm manager told us owners hope to sort this out next year Overall lovely site would definitely stay there again

Sheltered Spot

We used this site as a base to visit the Inverness area. Nobody was around so we pitched and went off to find elusive dolphins in the Moray Firth! Later we were welcomed by the owners charming son. This is just a basic well mown reasonably flat ex walled garden, obviously no views, but sheltered. Sign posting on the road to the site could be clearer. We were told by another caravanner that it was permissible to walk in the garden and wood. Pity there was nothing to say so.

Basic but nice

Stayed here recently just basic site as expected, nothing to complain about , but personally not to keen on the surrounding area. Owner very nice, we didn't know it was allowed to see the gardens so may have missed out there ,
