Referring to other reviews, we heard little road noise and there is a Sainsbury just outside of Nairn. Yes, the site is sloping, the grass left lying and facilities fairly basic. The water tap is at the bottom of the grassy slope which with a camper we needed to drive to, luckily it was firm ground.
The walled garden is a delight, there is an information shed where you can exchange books, the owner collected the money in the evening and was very pleasant. Compared to other CLs the price is reasonable. If you want expensive luxury go to a campsite!
