One of the best

Without doubt one of the best CL sites we have had the pleasure to visit. Three large serviced pitches, a well appointed toilet block and a tranquil location. Dave was a fantastic and accommodating host. If and when we return to Anglesey, Giddyaunts will be the first place we look to book.

Stunning location

It’s like being in a peaceful , tranquil back garden of your house . We are 8.6 Mtrs and the pitches are a lovely size , with everything you need . The owner is full of knowledge and very pleasant. Only 3 pitches so quiet . Lovely cycle ride Menai beach , with electric bikes about 10 miles mainly on small roads . 5-10 min walk to the beach , where is a nice cafe with lovely staff . One of the prettiest cl sites we have been to in the time we have been with the club . No shops nearby , so if it’s just peace and quiet you want to unwind this is the place for you .

April getaway

Dave the new owner was very friendly and welcoming. Spacious pitches very tidy and well mowed with good sitting out area and own picnic bench. Very quiet and peaceful. Easy access to places of interest and short walk down the lane to Menai Straits with fantastic views of Snowdonia . Would recommend a stay at this hidden gem. Thank you Dave from the Smallwoods.

Little slice of paradise

We arrived here quite easily after checking directions with Brian and Dawn. What lovely welcoming people they are. The site is just lovely. Small but perfectly formed. 3 pitches hard standing each with own garden area and picnic bench. The gardens are beautifully tended and was a real pleasure to sit in when the sun did shine. We found it a perfect spot for exploring the island and we did north south east and west, there is so much to see. It was always a pleasure to return after a day out to a lovely quiet peaceful spot. We thoroughly enjoyed it and won't hesitate to come again the next time we visit the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. Thankyou. You have a beautiful CL 😊

Quiet and Peaceful

Recently returned from 4 nights at Giddy Aunts in our Motorhome. Brian and Dawn were very friendly and welcoming and make delicious scones with clotted cream available every day. There are 3 hardstanding pitches in beautiful garden surroundings each with a picnic bench. Easy walk down to the shore and enjoyed delicious cake and coffee in the Foel Country Park cafe (you don’t have to purchase entry tickets to use the cafe). Cycled to Newborough Forest and into Benllech and plenty of places to visit in the area by car or Motorhome. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Lovely site-but you need a car/bike!

We stayed for 4 nights in our motorhome. Directions were straightforward and we arrived just after 1pm. Dawn & Brian greeted us and were extremely welcoming and friendly. The site is delightful, quite compact with lovely lawns and flowering shrubs around pitches. Plenty of room on pitches with grass either side and a picnic bench. Ours was slightly sloping so ramps were needed on nearside wheels. Water and EHU on each pitch, the only facilities was a single toilet which was very basic, however clean and perfectly adequate for your needs. Adjacent to the toilet cubicle was the waste area for chemical toilets. The site is an easy 15 minute walk down to the shore of the Menai Straight, which is very stoney and strewn with dead seaweed etc; we had hoped to find a spot to sunbathe but the weather had other ideas! Along the front is the Sea Zoo, Anglesey Salt and Foel Farm, all ideal attractions if you have children with you. There are no shops around, nor a pub or a bus. The nearest village of Brynciencyn is a good 40 minute walk, steep in places and here there is one pub, one cafe and a small shop. We found a bus stop with a service towards Llangefni but timings were poor and we wondered if we’d get back OK? If you’re visiting Giddyaunts with a caravan it could be an amazing place as a base, a lovely place to come back to after a day of exploring! Having a car with you is a must (or bikes) to be able to see other areas such as Caernarfon etc which are not that far away. We always pitch up and stay put rather than have the hassle of unhooking, securing ever again to go out in our unit, so that was our downfall. We felt very isolated and were stuck for things to do, apart from walking to the same places everyday, but that’s our fault for not researching adequately. If you have transport this is an ideal site, very peaceful and so pretty and well maintained. As previously reported the Cream Teas arrive fresh everyday and they are delicious 😋, our scones were still warm!

A little piece of heaven

We've just come home from this haven of peace after a stay of 6 nights (booked originally for 4 but couldn't leave as we loved it so much so stayed a bit longer, which was still not long enough). If you long for peace, beauty, and lovely, friendly owners (Brian and Dawn), then this could well be the place for you. It was certainly the place for us and we would love to return. There's so much to do in Anglesey especially if you love the juxtaposition of cliffs and beaches as we do. And we couldn't have chosen a better place to dwell than this lovely, unassuming site. I haven't mentioned the scones - you'll need to visit and try them for yourself. I hope you will love this place as much as we do. Sheila and Keith

So peaceful

Just home from our 2nd visit this year to giddyaunts run by Brian and Dawn, what can I say that hasn’t been said before, if you are looking for the most tranquil of sites then look no further, for those who want a getaway from it all break then this is the site for you, we had the most relaxing time virtually no noise at all, only from the occasional car passing but they drive so slowly you can hardly hear the vehicles, To me Brian and Dawn are the most hospitable, accommodating hosts ever, they are very obliging and nothing is too much trouble, the site is immaculate and surrounded by wildlife, we spent 6 nights here and it was wonderful, on our last night we had the company of a owl hooting very close by and even the red squirrel has been seen recently in the location. We are already booked for next year. Thank you Brian and Dawn see you again soon Terry and Ewa

Two night stay

Part of our North wales Tour. Immaculate site. Great facilities. Warm welcome from both the owner and his son. Fresh scones available, ready packed in a bag with jam, cream, knife and napkins! About 15minute walk to the beach on the Menai strait. I'm interested in nature, but not an avid bird watcher, so there are likley many species that I will have missed. However, we saw a Curlew and Buzzard among many other varieties. Also saw a Leopard Moth. So, if you like nature, a good place for some lovely walks. Another great walk to a long sandy beach, across sand dunes from Pen Lon car park (free but small-arrive early).
