Great CL

The site is perfectly situated on the edge of the Dales and the Forest of Bowland. There are six large hardstanding pitches well spaced out with great views across to Ingleborough or on the other side Pen-y-Ghent and a railway bridge. Steam train enthusiasts will enjoy the occasional views of steam trains going from Carnforth across the bridge on their way to pick up the carriages for the Settle/Carlisle trips. You can see the railway station from the site and there is a bit of train noise but the trains are not frequent. Other than that it is really peaceful. The site is very clean and well maintained and the owners are available if you go to the house but are not obtrusive. There is also a small information hut. Water and rubbish bins are next to the caravans but the toilet emptying and the toilet are across the farm track in a barn on the other side. Next to this barn are three serviced caravan pitches which are not strictly speaking part of the Cl. Highly recommend for wonderful rural holiday.
