Perfect, Peaceful CL Site

This is a really lovely, well-maintained CL site. Communication with Vic was great and I was able to book in for 1 night that same day. The site is immaculate and well thought out with everything you need (EHU, CDP, Water, Recycling/General waste) and more for your stay. The adjacent field for dog walking is a real bonus. Vic was very friendly and, even though I arrived a little later than I’d anticipated, had a warm welcome for me and my dog Stan. We were extra lucky to have the site all to ourselves and enjoyed a perfectly peaceful night in the beautiful South Gloucestershire countryside. Thank you!

Peaceful and well maintained site.

What a beautiful and peaceful site. It is very well laid out and maintained. Warm welcome from Vic, the site owner. I arranged my visit by text message. It was £22 and I paid by bank transfer. There’s an information shed on site which is worth a look. I’ll be back.

Lovely

Beautifully maintained site with large pitches, smart fencing enhanced by rose planting and various planters around the edge. Solar fairy lights wound round the fence and several picnic benches completed the picture. Owner very friendly and helpful, and even left some home grown apples on the pitch for us. Peaceful, secure location, together with a large field adjacent for dog walking, with mown pathways, a delight. We all enjoyed our stay.

Excellent

There is nothing not to like. Good dog walk from site. Beautifully kept and very flat, quiet site. Stayed 8 nights as went home 1 day early due to predicted weather tomorrow. Lunar the owners dog who my husband insists is called Lulu is a lovely friendly girl, she responds to both names 😂, Vic the owner nice too. Lots of places to visit. Fab stay. 😁👍

Wonderful stay

Bought our first motorhome and enjoyed a wonderful local overnight stay to test everything. So utterly peaceful and quiet! Vic ensured the access was seamless (key code entry) and texted to check we were ok. And popped over a chat and to check we were ok in the morning. Had a lovely walk along the Severn Estuary - wildlife and views abundant. We will definitely be back! Only 15 miles from home but felt like a million miles away….. Thanks Vic x

Perfect for Gloucestershire and Bristol

Just stayed at Golden Valley CL over the weekend for a wedding at Thornbury Castle. We loved our stay at this tranquil, well maintained, flat pitch site, very clean and tidy with good access from the M5. We visited the Anchor Inn at Oldbury on Seven bit over a mile away, great pub with good food and drink. Great location to access Bristol and South Gloucestershire and the local town of Thornbury is only about 2 miles away. If your a keen cyclist this is a lovely flat area to cycle for miles along the Sever Estuary and is very popular with local cycle clubs. We will definitely be back at some point soon, thank you Vic (the owner) !!

Wow! What a gem.

This new CL is an absolute gem. The site is level with troughs full of flowers and herbs and an information hut including laminated and paper maps for everyone to use. Solar lights are on every pitch and strewn around the site. Vic welcomed us on site with a box of freshly laid eggs from his chickens. There is a grassy meadow next to the site where a wide path has been mown for walking around. The meadow contains a sculpture and an enormous seat carved out of a fallen tree. There are plenty of walks from the site into the surrounding countryside and down to the River Severn. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay here and went on to our next stop with another batch of freshly laid eggs. This CL is not to be missed.

Beautiful site

This is a beautiful and tranquil site. Access is easy and the surrounding area is lovely and rural. There are many walks from the site along very quiet lanes and fields. The River Severn is within easy walking distance. This site itself has been developed and maintained to a very high standard with much thought and care by the owners. We were welcomed by Vic who very kindly gave us a box of eggs from his free range hens and information on the local area. We stayed for 3 nights but wish it had been more. We will definitely return !
