We have just returned from 2 weeks at Golyfa Penberry view CL and will be returning! The site has good sized marked out spaces on level ground on a large well-kept field with fab views in this wonderful area of Pembrokeshire. Open space and clear views to Carn Penberry and Carn Llidi and even distant views of the sea on both north and south sides of the peninsula highlights how well placed it is for exploring the area. It was central to get to all our favourite spots - Porthgain, Solva, Porthclais, Caerfai and the wonderful coastal paths to name just some. And St. David’s is only around 5 miles away. Look out for concerts held at the Cathedral and don’t miss Mamgu’s welsh cakes at the cathedral refectory as well as the interesting cathedral itself, of course.
On clear evenings we had some wonderful views of the sun setting from our caravan to complete our day.
The site is really easy to get to off the A487. Foolishly we followed our satnavs directions through some narrow lanes on the way there but it wasw so much easier returning.
Euros was a great CL host. He kept the grass well cut and the rubbish and disposable area clean and tidy. Thank you Euros we’ll see you again next year.
Peace and tranquility
Golygfa Penberry View is a hidden gem here in North Pembrokshire. It's run by Euros, who is honestly a lovely guy. It's an extremely peaceful CL, very basic, but has everything you need for a self-contained motorhome. There is even a drive over grey water drain, which I thought was great. The views all around are beautiful. If you get the chance, purchase some fresh eggs from the farm they are very tasty. We definitely recommend this CL to others
Peaceful, Tranquil beautiful setting with easy access
We have enjoyed the most wonderful week at Golygfa Penberry View and thoroughly recommend it. It is beautifully kept with spacious pitches and having distant views. The sea can be seen from its South Westerly and Northly aspects. Water and waste are clean and tidy and conveniently placed. The grass on site is regularly mowed with all cuttings removed.
The site is readily accessed from the nearby main road (which takes you straight to St. David’s five miles away), whilst being far enough from it to not hear it (except maybe for the very nosiest of vehicles).
Euros (the farmer/owner) gave instructions via email and text and offered to talk us in if required (which was not needed). We were warmly greeted and then Euros took the time to explain the area and recommend local eateries, walks and attractions, e.g. St. David’s Cathedral – the architecture and ornate carvings are surely a must for all to see.
A lane runs to the back of the site (we counted nine cars using it during the entire week) which provides a pleasant walk down to Abereiddi beach and adjacent National Trust’s Blue Lagoon – simply spectacular.
Without hesitation we recommend this site.
