Not so quiet at weekends

Nice little site, well looked after and nice location. Fantastic food in Kentisbeare which is about 1 mile away and a lovely village to walk to and around. However we found that the site was not as quiet as we imagined, especially at the weekend. We ended up on the pitch nearest the car park for the lakes which meant a very early awakening both weekend mornings with fishermen arriving with little or no regard for someone perhaps trying to sleep nearby. Plenty of car doors slamming. Although a bit irritating the worst was that one of the lakes is accessed via a driveway running immediately past the pitches. This meant that over the weekend in particular cars were driving up and down feet from your hitch with absolutely no speed restrictions. I was just glad I did not have young children or a dog to worry about. The staff appeared to be the worst culprits for speed. At times outside the fishermen's rush hour it is a quiet site in a really lovely location. If you fish and tourit is then fantastic!
