My wife and I have used this site for over 25 years. We only live in Scarborough but this is our sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of a busy coastal resort. The site is spacious with fantastic views across Harwood Dale and there's something for everyone here. Plenty of room for children to play without disturbing your neighbours, Walks in every direction from the site, Bike rides from the site if you don't mind hills A short car ride to Scarborough or Dalby Forest (walking and bike trails) Slightly longer ride to Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar, Or if you just want peace and quiet--------- then this is the site for you. Dave and Carol are very friendly and always willing to help if you need information. It's a working farm and you'll see Dave most mornings on some machine or other and for any town dwellers you might learn about what goes into farming. Children find watching animals being rounded up and penned for sorting quite fascinating. The recent addition of 2 extra water taps has made life easier, not far to go for water wherever you are pitched. The nearby Grainary which was a hotel with tea rooms has changed hands and is closed at the moment for refurbishment but it is hoped to be open in the Autumn with better facilities which will be an asset to the area. We've made many friends over the years on this site and can only suggest it's a site well worth trying to see if my review is a fair reflection of it. Cheers Bondy
