Adverse travels in our local area.

Site is in a very large, almost flat field. All the pitches are on grass with no hardstandings. The pitches are very well spaced apart. There is a toilet on its own and a toilet in the shower room. Both were extremely clean and tidy. Beautifully kept by the lovely owners. On site is fresh water, grey water waste emptying point and chemical waste disposal. The rubbish is separated into recycling and general and there is even a separate bin for the dog poo. The site has electric which is 10 amps. I have rated it 4 for access to local places of interest because if in a car and caravan you are very quickly in Shrewsbury, Welshpool or Oswestry. If in a motorhome with no bike/motorbike etc, you are quite a few miles from these places. There are some walks nearby especially good viewing point off Rodneys Pillar. We wanted to suss out the cl's close to us and we will definitely be back to this one.

What would be the problem in travelling to the places you mention in a MH? Seriously, I’m puzzled and left wondering why I shouldn’t visit this site. Are the roads so narrow that a van cannot use them?

Hi there. Malcolm here, site owner.

The local roads are extremely accessible. There are regular busses that stop on request at our gate and go to all towns mentioned plus more.

We keep a bus timetable in our information hut.

Thank you for your positive review.

We are on our second visit to Grantley court and everything is exactly as we remembered it to be. On Malcolm’s recommendation we went to the local pub, The Punch Bowl last night. It has both English And Indian cuisine. The beer, food and service were excellent all at a very reasonable price. On our previous review we commented that motorhomers if they didn’t have a car or bike would struggle to visit Shrewsbury, Oswestry or Welshpool. The comment was merely that if you don’t want to take your motorhome to the afore mentioned places, they are not within walking distance. You would need to take a bus. The roads are great and more than passable. Hope this clears that up. Our second visit we are enjoying just as much as the first and once again we will be back in the future.
