Pleasant simple CL

Nice quiet CL, no problem from a few daily dog walkers, tv and mobile reception ok. Nice stall along footpath, organic veg and a good shop in Westleton village. Minsmere a few miles away and free for C&M Club members. Owner very amenable, no electric hook up but if like us you are solar powered then you get a quiet peaceful stay for a reasonable price, recommended.

Nice little site - but!

We stayed here for a few days recently, and it is a pleasant little site. Access is straightforward from the lane and room to turn in the site itself. Water point in the field and chemical waste just through the gate at the entrance to the farm. Overall very quiet, just some occasional noise from farm machinery. One downside is that there is a public footpath running through the site, so you do get walkers coming right through the middle of the site. That isn't too bad, what is a nuisance though is that whilst we were there, one dog owner constantly allowed his dog to run loose and foul the site and we saw it urinating onto an awning! Another caravanner told us that the owner had put up a sign requesting dogs to be kep on leads when they complained during their last visit. Doesn't seem to have made any difference. Would be better if the footpath could be at the side of the site and maybe fenced off. Little stall nearby selling salad and vegetables, Westleton village has a shop which is very well stocked, there is also a garage that sells gas and a pub and a hotel. Lots to see and do in the area, and we hope to come back and explore. Would we use this site again? Not sure.
