A little gem

What a lovely little site. Exactly what we wanted - only five vans and stunning views. The site is beautifully maintained, the grass is kept short and there is a recycling point as well as general rubbish. Neil is lovely and nothing is too much trouble, The only downside is the road noise, but, as others have said, it goes quiet at night and wouldn’t stop us going back. Sadly, the tea rooms weren’t open whilst we were there and we’d been so looking forward to the best cream tea in Cornwall! Ideally located, St Ives is 7 minutes away, Penzance the same and everywhere else is easily accessed. St Michael’s Mount, the view from the campsite, is a must visit. The castle is lovely and the gardens are beautiful. Thank you Neil. Hope to see you again before too long for that cream tea!

Great welcome and a stunning view

We stayed here with our dog over the Bank Holiday weekend and were given a great welcome by Neil, who helped us out with chocks as we weren't quite prepared for the slope (it being only our second venture out since returning to caravanning after a long break). The site has a panoramic view of Mounts Bay, with St Michael's Mount taking centre stage. The well kept field overlooks its own dog walking field which has a mown path around the edge so that you can walk your pooch easily. We didn't go but gather that there is an off-road walk to the local village pub about a mile down the hill from the site. We need to go back to do that! From here you can easily access the local area, including St Ives, Gwithian, Penzance, Lands End and that part of the coast. The site is beautifully kept and has a tea room open in the summer (we need to go back!) You will probably hear some road noise from the road behind the site but we were pitched right against that hedge so further down the site might reduce this. It was very quiet at night and the skies are dark too, great for star-gazers.

A superb Site.

We have just returned from this site after a two week stay , end of July beginning of August. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our huge pitch. The site is spotless and very well kept with a lovey tea room selling sandwiches and amazing Cornish cream teas mmmm. Stunning views over St Michel's Mount. The site is only about 3 miles from St Ives and 2 miles from Penzance. The bus to both destinations stops right outside the gate. We had a problem with our caravan whilst on site. Neil promptly supplied us with a recommended repairer who arrived first thing Monday morning and got it sorted.Thank you so much to the family, Neil, Ste, Peter and Maureen who made us so welcome. Our holiday was perfect. See you next year. Alan & Julie. Liverpool

Such a lovely site!

We stayed on this CL at the end of June 2018 and I'm not sure we can add much else to the other reviews. The site ticks all the boxes and is a great place to stay in a convenient location! The tea rooms are a nice bonus as well:)

Such a peaceful site

Lovely break spent at this site, and it has views of the Mount in Marazion which change with light/dark and in different weathers. Site is short grass but please take levelling blocks with you as some pitches are sloping slightly. Lovely friendly owners who will come and see if you are ok and happy. Always happy to help. Nearest shops are 3 miles into Penzance or Hayle and St Ives. On a bus route too, and the owners will give you the bus times, its not a stop there but just beckon them and they will stop for you. Lovely cream teas here too...so yummy.. Would definately go there again.

Lovely site

We recently stayed a fortnight at this lovely site, it was our second visit and both times we had a great holiday. The owners are friendly and helpful and work hard to keep the site immaculate. We had a really good time and didn't want to leave. The timetable for the handy bus service is another thoughtful touch from the owners. We can vouch for the tasty cream teas and the views down to St Michael's Mount are stunning. Thanks for the memories.

BEAUTIFUL CL

We stayed at Green Pig Farm for 5 nights in June. What a fantastic site. We were met by the owner on arrival who gave us the choice of 2 pitches. Very spacious with plenty of room for an awning and to park your car. The grass is kept very short and all the water and disposal facilities are close by. Slightly sloping in places so levelling blocks may be needed. Dog walking area in field next door. Stunning views of the sea and St Michael's Mount. As a bonus the site has a lovely tea room and garden where you can have fabulous cream teas, sandwiches and cakes etc. Throughly recommended and we will definately be back.

Excellent few days

The welcome at Green Pig was wonderful. The site was beautiful with very large pitches and outstanding views. We didn’t have time to visit the Tea Room but it looked beautiful and the cakes as good! Our dog loved the on site dog walk. We have already recommended this site to others and I am sure we will return

Superb location

Very welcoming and accommodating hosts, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel special The facilities were excellent as described on the website, very clean and tidy. There is a 14th century pub 35 mins walk away which serves good food and ale 😊 Outside of the site is a bus stop which takes you to Penzance in one direction, and St Ives the other with onward rail connections from either readily available. This is a fabulous CL with magnificent views of St Michaels Mount and the English Channel with the most lovely hosts. A perfect location to both relax and also to explore the rest of Cornwall. We were very pleased and couldn’t recommend it more highly, and will be returning again.
