Great Site that will not disappoint

Its apparent as soon as you arrive that Fraser and Lorraine have put a lot of time and effort into the site. They are very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are first class and thoughtfully installed an include EHU. All very neat and well maintained. They have a spare waste carrier for use of those who may not have one. The chemical waste is thoughtfully placed at waist height to save bending for older folk. Everything is very neat and tidy. The bus stop into Dundee is a short 10 min walk and runs every 30 mins. A lovely site that wont disappoint. :-)

Lovely site, ideal for Dundee

The site is well maintained, and the owner very sociable and helpful. 3 fields that surround the site have horses and donkeys. There are two hard standing pitches and the rest grass, and you can face any direction (the joy of a CL). Pitches one and two are a little close together and opposite them is a lovely grass pitch with great views, which we would’ve preferred didn’t notice until later after pitching. There is drainage and water on each pitch. 15 minutes walk down the lane brings you to it very good farm shop. 20 minutes in the opposite direction brings you out onto the main road. The bus stop is at the top of that lane in Birkhill , and it cost £1.80 per person for the day saver ticket. It’s 20 minutes on the bus into Dundee. We spent some time at the RRS Discovery which is worth a visit. We dined in the restaurant on the marina including Smokies which were lovely. Lovely peaceful, quiet site with good views if you don’t pitch in the traditional way facing the farmhouse.

Beautiful location and a very warm welcome

This is the ideal site for a peaceful and relaxing base from which to visit Dundee and the beautiful surrounding countryside. You are assured of a warm welcome from Fraser and Lorraine. The pitches are generous and well serviced. We had a brilliant stay and will undoubtedly return. Al and Linda Hendley

Great site, fantastic hosts

The site itself is a great site with easy access to electricity, water, grey water on each pitch (slight incline so make sure you have ramps). Easy access to Dundee and surrounding countryside which is literally outside your door. As for the hosts, Fraser and Loraine are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend this site.

Beautiful sunsets

Please do not follow sat nav. Follow instructions in your book. Pitches are very well laid out. A very warm welcome from Loraine and Fraser. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable about the area. You are surrounded on 3 sides by horses which was lovley to watch. Grewars farm shop a short walk away has wonderful fresh and frozen food. The bus stop is just up the hill and there are frequent buses into Dundee or Coupar Angus. If you are going into Dundee i would recommend www.brightdundeetour.com. We got the leaflet from the tourist information office and rang him at noon. He came and met us at 1.45 and gave us an amazing walking tour for £10 each. If this site was closer to our home in Devon we would defiantly return.

Excellent site

We have just stayed for 7 nights at this excellent CL site. The welcome by Fraser and Loraine was excellent with our pitch number on the gate, and shortly after arrival Fraser came to welcome us showing us the facilities and suggestions of places of interest. The site is well laid out with your own water tap and grey water drain on every pitch. The caravan sits on stone hard standing with neatly cut grass surrounding. It was a great not having to fill the water or empty the grey water all week. The toilet emptying point was excellent with the empty point at waist level, clean and tidy and with a small roof cover for when it rains. Recycling facilities also available at the toilet empting point. The adjacent field has horses and donkeys present, and good views across to the rolling hills and surrounding countryside. We would recommend this site for visits around Dundee, and with its V&A Museum and Discovery Ship (Scott to the Antarctic Ship) on the water front which has had considerable money spent to make it a very pleasant experience for visitors and locals alike. Just across the Tay Road Bridge is Fife which has great fishing villages and coastline. St Andrews is also a must visit with free car parking adjacent to the famous golf course. This site comes highly recommended if you are staying in this area or passing through.

Lovely quiet site

We have just spent 3 nights at this lovely new CL site. It was easy to access and had lovely views. We live locally and just wanted to be away for a few days to try our van out following some repairs. We didn't visit anywhere apart from the lovely farm shop just down the lane as we know the area quite well, but enjoyed a chilled out stay. The owners were away while we were there but their daughter was close by should we need anything. But everything we needed was there with our own tap and drain. We had paid by transfer prior to arrival and our pitch number was on the gate when we arrived. There are some blocks for your use as the site slopes a little but we didn't need them. There are horses in the adjacent fields and a riding stables close by. There was a little road noise but to be honest you hardly noticed it. We will certainly be going back when we have some more time as we are booked up for our holidays at the moment. Definitely going to be a go to site.
