On entry to the site our pitch number was shown on the notice board. We had been told that the owners were out but would introduce themselves once they returned. We were met by Peter after we’d set up and we could have chatted all day. Really nice, helpful chap who was more than happy to lend me his step ladder to sort an issue I’d had with a roof vent. The site was well tended and looked immaculate despite the torrential downpours the area had been suffering. The bonus of plumbed water at the pitch is always a welcome treat and 16a hook up is the icing on the cake. No grey waste container required as it can be left to run into the hedgerow. Locality wise Peter was very helpful with walking routes providing a map highlighting the walks from the site. More importantly he knew some good pubs too.
Both Peter and his wife Julie couldn’t have been nicer hosts which gave us the initial impression that they were old hands at the game. Surprisingly it turns out they inherited the site when they bought the property not realising there were two sites on the land. This is all pretty new and I have to say they’ve taken to it like ducks to water. We’ll worth a visit. 👍🏻
Made very Welcome on arrival
Back again to this lovely site with a fantastic welcome from the owners, Julie and Peter.
a very nice, quiet, well-maintained site with easy access into Bibury and several surrounding beautiful villages, a firm favorite of ours to stay (we have booked our 6th visit) There are a few very nice eateries close by too. We really believe we will never tire of visiting the Cotswolds and this very lovely site, Orchard Lodge.
Well Organised, quiet, excellent
Friendly owner, who met us on arrival. Passed on some local information, ensured we knew where everything was. Site is clean, tidy and well organised. Quiet, no barking/yapping dogs, a BIG bonus. We visited in March, and had hard standing pitch, EHU and fresh water on pitch. Free wifi onsite. How a CL should be.

Lovely Site, Owners and Area
Just a really well kept site, in a beautiful part of the world.
Lots of lovely villages and NT sites around, don’t ignore the local village.
Local Roman site a must, as well as Snowhill, both NT.
Owners really friendly and helpful.
Booked again for stop off going to Cornwall.
But, it’s a destination in itself.
Fabulous CL
We have just returned home having spent a fabulous time at this CL site just on the outskirts of Bibury. Prior to our arrival we received an email from the owners, Peter and Julie, apologising that they wouldn't be there to meet us due to a prior engagement, however, within an hour of our arrival, Peter was knocking at the caravan door to welcome us and to provide us with information about the surrounding area. Within minutes, Julie, had arrived. What wonderful people. They were so informative about the site and the area. Very few rules on the site, but what rules there were, were common sense and quite reasonable. We had been allocated a pitch prior to arrival and were more than happy with it. The pitches are a good size and the site is well managed and maintained. On Peters' recommendation we undertook the alternative short walk to Bibury during our stay and I have to admit that it was well worth it. The surrounding area is well worth visiting and despite the fact that we had stayed in this area previously there are still many places of interest to visit. One in particular was the Roman Villa at Chedworth. We have to congratulate Peter and Julie for the effort that they have put into making this site such a wonderful place to stay. They are obviously very committed to ensuring that their guests enjoy themselves. We would have no hesitation in recommending this site to family and friend and we have every intention of returning again next year. Thank you both.

Fabulous Stay
We have just returned from a great 8 night break at this truly lovely site. Directions were easy to follow and our hardstanding pitch with ehu and water tap was found through a gated gravel driveway. As others have mentioned, the hosts are super welcoming and provide an excellent information pack with walks and recommendations to local restaurants and pubs which compliments leaflets and maps available in the information hut. It was with a heavy heart we left on Sunday. There's a bus at the end of the road and many beautiful towns, villages and attractions to explore within around 30 mins driving and walks a plenty. Alas not open over winter, we will have to wait until next year to return. There are 2 sites, this one with hardstanding and the meadow with the same facilities on grass pitches (I mistakenly put my original review there).
Lovely site in a great setting...
We enjoyed a short break at Orchard Lodge this weekend. A great location for exploring picturesque Bibury. We went on some lovely walks which were recommended by Peter. The site was very peaceful and we will definitely return.
Cotswold Break
Perfect site for a short break. Lovely flat walks from the site, very friendly and helpful owners. Will certainly visit aganin.

Lovely CL
Very convenient for touring the Cotswolds. Be nice if it was open all year. We'll organised.
A lovely CL!
We visited Orchard Lodge CL recently and found it to be lovely little site. Each pitch was clean, well served and information regarding the area clearly offered. A bonus for us was walking to picturesque Bibury (inc the Trout farm to get trout for tea!) and access lo the bus which we took into Cirencester. We had a lovely 3 nights and would highly recommend - we'll hopefully be back! Thank you Julie and Peter.
