This site is the best we have stayed on so far, really well organised and welcoming. A board with your name is placed at the edge of your pitch followed immediately with a welcome from Henry. He explained this is your pitch and you can organise it however you like, he told us where to find water etc. Our pitch was big enough for all you could want and more, with great views over ‘Soulseat Loch’. Everything here has been well thought out and the pitches are beautifully landscaped into individual areas, providing a nice degree of privacy. There are Guineafowl that come to visit our pitch a couple of times a day; it’s lovely to watch them and they make us laugh. There are paths laid out to the Loch shore, were there are a couple of benches for you to sit and take in the views, it’s really lovely in an evening watching the swans swimming by and the bats flying around. It’s not far from Stranraer shopping centre where you can find a Morrisons supermarket with petrol station and a small Tesco which also houses the Post Office.
